Zoe Saldana Replaces Mary J. Blige In Nina Simone Biopic

What’s in the new chicken wraps, Mary? Well, apparently it’s a movie role replacement! According to WENN, back in 2010 Mary J. Blige was lined up to play singer Nina Simone in a new biopic that was supposed to start filming last year. The film then experienced a number of financial issues and Mary J. Blige subsequently stepped down from the role.

But now it’s been revealed that Zoe Saldana will be playing Nina. The movie will start filming in Los Angeles this October. Zoe will be starring along side David Oyelowo, who will play her manager Clifton Henderson. What do you think? Should Mary J. Blige have stayed in the role or is Zoe the right choice?

Janet Jackson Says She Didn’t Ask The Jackson Estate To Pay Mortgage

And the Jackson family drama continues! But it sounds like more of it is battling against rumors that have appeared over the past few months. This time it’s Janet Jackson‘s turn to clear the air. According to Entertainment Tonight, Janet is speaking out through her lawyers regarding the claims that she asked the Jackson Estate to foot some of her mortgage bill for her Las Vegas home.

According to her lawyer Blair Brown, Janet’s Las Vegas home, which is not a condo, has never even had a mortgage, and she purchased the home outright 10 years ago for her mother Katherine Jackson’s use. Furthermore, Janet has “provided financial support unconditionally to her mother before and after Michael’s death and will continue to do so,” her representative states.

This Rihanna/Oprah interview is probably going to be one of the best interviews Oprah has done in a long time. That Kardashian interview was just a fluffy mess compared to this Rihanna interview. Oprah asks Rihanna about her relationship with Chris Brown on the night of the assault, and holding back tears Rihanna says:

It was a weird, confusing space to be in,” Rihanna told Winfrey. “Because as angry as I was, as angry and hurt and betrayed, I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help and who’s going to help him? As one of the biggest Michael Jackson fans you’ll ever meet, I usually have a problem with Michael Jackson documentaries. Mainly, it’s because people don’t get the clearance from the Jackson Estate to use Michael‘s music, thus filling the whole thing with karaoke quality covers. Well, I’m excited about this one because Spike Lee is such a Michael Jackson fan and he did the work he needed to get clearance. Also, with Bad 25, Spike is using unseen film from Michael‘s personal collection to give us some behind the scenes footage for the recording of Bad, according to The Playlist.
