With the third installment of Madagascar releasing tomorrow, Jada Pinkett Smith has been on a steady PR run these past few weeks. Btu quite frankly, she’s one of those actresses I would read about whether she has a project out or not. I’m a fan! She sat down with Essence magazine to discuss the movie but also opened up about some other areas in her life. Probably one of the most sought after information from her: the secret to her slender frame.
ESSENCE.com: Let’s talk guilty pleasures. What are yours?
PINKETT SMITH: French fries, and pizza… together. If I could have French fries and pizza every day I would really live off that. My real diet though, well, I don’t eat for pleasure. I probably had the only West Indian grandmother that could not cook. [Laughs] She was an awful cook, and she taught me that you don’t eat for taste, you eat for nourishment. And I have kept that over the years, so I can eat anything that’s healthy. I eat for my schedule so I have to eat high-protein, lots of greens and healthy carbs so that I don’t fall flat on my face.
Hmm. Eating for nourishment and not pleasure? Eh. I gotta let you go with that on your own, Jada. She also discussed the plan to do more of the Red Table Talk series, including some featuring her sons and her husband, Will Smith:
Alright. I’m a little bit confused here. Yesterday, Erykah Badu sat down at her computer and posted a full on rant to Wayne Coyne, the lead singer of The Flaming Lips who is the director of their controversial video The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. Last week we posted some pics from the video and the video itself came out shortly after. Click here if you’d like to check it out, but be warned it’s NSFW. It took me a while but I finally understood the concept, after repeated viewings and studying of the lyrics. But apparently that was all for naught, because the final video cut was not approved by Erykah and she’s unhappy with it’s final result…or is she?
@waynecoyne then… perhaps, next time u get an occasion to work with an artist who respects your mind/art, you should send at least a ROUGh version of the video u PLAN to release b4 u manipulate or compromise the artist’s brand by desperately releasing a poor excuse for shock and nudity that sends a convoluted message that passes as art( to some).
Even with Window Seat there was a method and thought process involved. I have not one need for publicity . I just love artistic dialogue . And just because an image is shocking does not make it art.
You obviously have a misconception of who I am artistically. I don’t mind that but…
By the way you are an ass.
Yu did everything wrong from the on set .
