Sadly is has come to this, Brian McKnight is so thirsty for publicity that he not only writes ratchet songs about sex, but now he’s going after Chris Brown, Floyd Mayweather, and R Kelly on twitter. Brian McKnight who is also known for his share of domestic violence including an arrest, decides to go on twitter and attack Chris Brown for his assault record, and R Kelly for
peeing on sleeping with underage girls. As I have said many times, I do not condone what Chris Brown has done, or R Kelly, but other celebrities using it as a publicity tactic is just morally wrong. It’s one thing to object to Chris Brown or R Kelly for their actions on principle, it’s another thing to intentionally start a beef with them just to promote a new song, book, or a reality show.
On the other hand, does Breezy always have to take the bait. Seriously, Brian McKnight’s new anal song, tells us where his career is headed *down the toilet*. Especially if keeps making these dumb vulgar songs. But really, did Chris Brown need to respond like this...SMH!
All those fans who purchased tickets to see Nicki Minaj perform at the Hot 97 Summer Jam in Jersey, didn’t actually get to see Nicki Minaj perform. Why? Because Nicki Minaj canceled her set right before the performance. Why? Because Lil Wayne told her to. Why? Because Peter Rosenberg, the host of Hot 97 morning show called her music commercial while introducing other “real” hip-hop artists he looked forward to seeing at Summer Jam. I get that Peter Rosenberg wasn’t being very hospitable, talking trash about an artist the station invited to perform, but did he actually say something that wasn’t true?!?
I see the real Hip-Hop heads sprinkled in here. I see them. I know there are some chicks here waiting to sing ‘Starships’ later, I’m not talking to y’all right now.
There has been a lot of attacks on Nicki Minaj (some of them warranted) but I don’t like when the industry piles on a particular artist. However, the best way to prove them wrong is to just do you. What Nicki Minaj should have done is gone out on that stage and KILLED it. Why?
If you haven’t heard by now, Lil Wayne made Nicki Minaj pull out of her headlining performance obligation at the Hot 97 Summer Jam after NYC radio personality, Peter Rosenberg made some remarks regarding hip hop versus pop dissing her song, “Starship.”
His words exactly…
Well Wayne got wind of his comments and forced Young Money to pull out altogether.
Nicki then tweets:
Wow. U niggaz just fucked up history. But the President has spoken. #YMCMB
Well all was not lost. Since Nicki pulled out, Nas was able to do a whole set instead of one song and he brought out Lauryn Hill to which the crowd went crazy. She performed, “Ready or Not,” “Lost Ones” and her collabo with Nas “If I Ruled the World.”
This morning on the Cipha Sounds and Rosenberg radio show, Rosenberg stood by his comments and felt that Nicki had an obligation to her fans. Angry parents and fans called in to Hot 97 this morning to express their disappointment with Nicki especially having purchased colorful wigs and crazy outfits in anticipation to see her perform live at Summer Jam.
Anyhow, instead Nicki spent the night
So is THIS what Jay Electronica has been doing instead of working on an album? Putting in work elsewhere? According to the U.K.’s The Sun, multi-millionaire Ben Goldsmith and music producer Kate Rothschild are splitting up after Goldsmith found text messages from Jay on Rothschild‘s phone. Apparently they were arranging to met up in secret.
Jay Electronica signed to Kate‘s record label Round Table and has been living in London. Even in an interview of producer Just Blaze back in May he disclosed that Jay has a “situation” in London. And just a few hours ago, Jay, who’s been silent on Twitter since his grandmother passed a few months ago, tweeted “#LoveIsOnTheWay”. HMMM!!! Goldsmith isn’t taking this lightly either:
