I have been trying not to watch Basketball Wives, but after my twitter timeline lit up with comments about Tami’s behavior, I just had to have a sneak a peek. I ended up watching the whole episode like a crack-head. The show, however, didn’t feel right at all. My soul was hurting while watching Tami Roman bully Kesha over some comments Kesha made weeks ago that were not that serious and taken out of context. Last night after the show aired Tami issued a very weak public apology via twitter, claiming that she is not a bully. Perhaps, she doesn’t know what the word “bully” means:
Bully: a person who is habitually cruel or overbearing, especially to smaller or weaker people.
Bully: a blustering browbeating person; especially: one habitually cruel to others who are weaker
Bully: bullying is intentional aggressive behavior. It can take the form of physical or verbal harassment and involves an imbalance of power (someone who is physically bigger or more aggressive)
By every definition of the word, Tami is indeed a bully, and what she did to Kesha was WRONG! I felt like a bully just watching Basketball Wives because there was nothing I could do to help Kesha, who clearly wasn’t trying to fight or engage in the drama.
