Beyonce and Jay-Z finally welcome their baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter. We knew it was a girl!!! Beyonce delivered the baby girl last night via c-section at Lenox Hill Hospital (in a private wing of the hospital under the alias of Ingrid Jackson). This time, we know the delivery rumors are true because close friends such as Russell Simmons, Gwyneth Paltrow, Solange Knowles and Rihanna have all confirmed the birth via twitter. Plus, E! News, which is a lot more creditable than MTO, reported the birth early this morning.
In a rush to get the story out many news outlets have reported the baby’s name as Ivy Blue, but it’s actually Blue Ivy. Gwyneth Paltrow also confirms the baby’s name and clears up the confusion in the media:
The NBC hit show, The Voice, will return for a second season on Sunday, February 05, 2012.
Carson Daly returns to host and Cee-Lo, Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton also return to make up the coaches for the second season of NBC’s musical competition.
If you remember from last year, the first stage of the competition is a ‘blind audition’, where contestants are judged purely on their vocals and not their looks, then they battle it out amongst themselves before the live shows begin. Winner receives a recording contract and $100k. Javier Colon won in 2011.
There is so much to love about The Voice, but one of my favorite components was the interactive social media action going on during the show. The live-tweeting and helping the contestants build their social media presence was on point.
Check out who will be the new “social media correspondent” for season 2…
I just love the look on The Help‘s actress, Octavia Spencer‘s face backstage after the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala in Palm Springs, CA.
She was in the middle of a backstage photo opp when her and Bridesmaid funny lady Melissa McCarthy were gifted with Cartier jewelry. Mccarthy received a Cartier pendant and Spencer, a Cartier watch.
Can’t wait til the Oscar nominations come out. I’m sure Spencer has a lot more surprises coming her way.
Last night, Hollywood’s brightest stars were out in support of St. Jude’s Research Hospital’s 50th Anniversary Gala at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, CA.
We had the privilege of attending this star-studded event that drew out Hollywood’s elite for a special cause, finding cures and saving children through cancer research. Some of your favorite stars that glammed it up on the red carpet include the legendary actress Diahann Carroll, actress Vanessa Williams, actor Lance Gross, Hollywood’s new it-girl Mila Kunis, Elise Neal, our favorite Raven Symoné, and even William Shatner, Capt. Chesley Sullenberger and Buzz Aldrin.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. Click here to find out more ways you can give back to support St. Jude.
