Wow! I can’t believe people have really started a petition to get Kim Kardashian kicked off the air. My theory is: If you don’t like it; don’t watch it, but I guess this publicity stunt of a marriage isn’t sitting well with Americans. Before you think it’s some Right Wing Christian Conservative movement, the petition states:

Dear Sirs,
In a grass roots effort, we have collected over 4800 signatures for a petition asking E! Entertainment to remove the Kardashian suite of shows from their programming. We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption. While some may have begun watching the spectacle as mindless entertainment or as a sort of “reality satire,” it is a sad truth that many young people are looking up to this family and are modeling their appearance and behavior after them. (I’ll remind you here that the Kardashian family fame largely started with a “leaked” sex tape.) There is no particular religious or political platform behind our disgust; we are just finally fed up.

It’s not so much about having her kicked off the air as it is about giving her a platform to manipulate people. She is supposed to be on a reality show. She totally fooled everyone with her sham marriage and made millions.
When you get a TV show, all the promotions, marketing and publicity that comes with is is enough to drive her name into overload. E! is pushing her constantly like she is actually worth our time. A network that promotes talent such as actors and musicians, has also created a character so they profit off her too.
Its the business and she is totally fooling mass audiences.

Although I agree with her being talentless and her fame rose from a sex tape. I think if the media outlets stop giving her the time and day we wont see her face poppin up everywhere. I ain’t gon lie I used to watch the K-dash show during the first season but I quickly stopped when they had all the spin offs. E! – as a former employee of the company – is just worried about the business side of things- money money money.
