There are always two sides to a story! First, Solange Knowles calls the Miami Police Department racist during a twitter rant. According to Solange Knowles, the Miami Po-Po harassed her for no reason at all, except for being black. Check out her tweets below:

I have literally had my last leg with discriminating police! Miami police department will be notified. A police officer just pulled a weapon on me…. I have done NOTHING illegal, against the law, or anything of the sort. I am simply tired of police using arrogance, ego and authority as an offense.

I’m only tweeting this to raise awareness. I could have left quietly, but I am sick & tired of this scenario being played over & over again. I’m ok. I’m safe & sound at my apartment. I’m just beyond frustrated with the system. It is time to do something about it. I am a mother raising a young black child in America. I’m going to die trying!

Been on the phone for the last 20 minutes reporting this incident. Yes, I have the officers name. Yes, I have the location. Scare tactics don’t WORK.

As more details come out, this story becomes very strange. First of all, this whole mess starts over a giant banana, something Solange conveniently leaves out of her twitter rant. YES! A 5 foot tall inflatable BANANA! (You read it right…please continue for details)…

Here’s what really happened. Solange Knowles tries to take an inflatable 5 ft Banana into club Cameo in Miami, and she’s told, “No”. Well, Solange doesn’t take no for an answer, and reportedly becomes hostile and unruly over her giant inflatable banana, and complains about racial discrimination. The off-duty cops (i.e. security guards) takes Solange across the street to calm her down, and that’s where they allegedly pull out a weapon and threaten to take the large banana’s life. (I’m not making this up, I promise you)

I thought it was strange that Solange left out a few details…but TMZ fills in the blanks {Solange Knowles Almost Arrested Over Giant Banana via TMZ}

So to recap:

1. Solange Knowles tries to take a giant banana into the club

2. The incident involves security guards (off duty cops working part-time jobs), and not the Miami Police Department as she claims.

3. Solange is not stopped because of her race, but because of the giant banana she’s trying take into the club. Unless other white people got to take their giant inflatable fruit into the club before or after Soalnge, I’m not sure how this is a racist matter

4. The “weapon” is not pulled on Soalnge, per se, it’s actually pulled on the banana as a joke

5. The weapon is not a gun, but a knife used to threaten the inflatable banana’s life?

6. Solange tweets she had the choice of quietly walking away, but chose to take a stand on injustice and arrogance

7. Witnesses says she appeared intoxicated

OMG! I couldn’t make this up if I tried!!!

Yep, there’s always 2 sides. Not often when it invlves the cops and a black person, but sometimes there are two sides.

LOL…Basement Baby will always be weird to me. Its sad though because Solange is a talented young lady she just doesnt know who she is and where she is going.

I am rolling on the floor at this story though…TOOOOO FUNNNNYYYYY!!! BAWAHAHAHAHHA. especially your last comment I couldnt make this up if I tried…LMMFAO!!!
