Kelly Rowland was spotted in Atlanta partying with Tracee Ellis Ross, and new comer Bu Thiam (Def Jam), after a special performance with Robin Thicke and Jeremih at Fox Theater. Check out a few pics of Kelly Rowland partying with Grey Goose, plus Tracee Ellis Ross getting cozy with new comer, Bu Thiam?Interesting…they don’t even look like friends to me.
Kelly Rowland’s album, Here I Am, will take the #3 spot in a week of unimpressive sales. Kelly Rowland comes in third behind, Eric Church (country singer) and Adele (second week on chart). Sales projection for Here I Am is set around 75,000. Right now with 53% of the sales reported on Hits Daily Double, Here I Am has officially moved 47,889 units so far. Of course the number will be updated later today to reflect all sales. Let’s hope Ms Kelly made or exceeded her sales projection.
I’m so disappointed in the numbers, my heart hurts just a little bit. I also don’t feel like the promotion team capitalized on the success of Motivation. It’s not over, her sales can continue to build over time, but it does sting just a little. On the bright side, Chris Brown and Kelly Rowland may be coming to a city near you on tour…
Rihanna was spotted getting back to her Bajan roots at the Barbados’s Kadooment Day Parade. Rihanna looked like she was truly having some freaky fun with her best friend Melissa. I know it looks wild, but truth be told the old Mrs. G would have been out there showing out, too, on top of that float. Oh, to be young and carefree…

When it comes to ballads and Chris Brown, it’s either hit or miss with me. For example, I love With You, but I can’t listen toCrawl often; it’s just way too cheesy. Here however, is Breezy’s new track Open Road (I Love Her) and I can’t stop listening to it. It has been on repeat on my smart phone, and I have not grown tired of it yet. It’s a mature ballad with a throw back feel. The lyrics actually show some maturity and depth, and not at all naive like Crawl. This song definitely reminds me of the classic, Have You Seen Her, mixed with some little 80′s slow rock.
And for all the people who like to search for Rihanna references in all of Chris Brown songs, this one may be the most honest…
Chris Brown also revealed the cover art for his mixtape, Boy In Detention, that will drop in four days, August 5th. I am actually looking forward to the mixtape, remember Deuces came from the last one, and that song turned his career back around… Continue Reading →
Lauryn Hill don’t play, she gave birth to her sixth child last Tuesday (July 23rd) and hit the stage looking slim on Saturday, just four days later. Mama Guru at Black Celeb Kids has the first look of this beautiful baby boy who was born with the umbilical chord wrapped around his neck, but don’t worry everything is now fine with the little fella. No word on his name, yet.
Check out pics of Lauryn Hill back on stage just four days after giving birth at the 2011 LA Rising Festival. I know this is her sixth and all, but certainly, this makes her soldier of sorts…
Fantasia finally reveals what we’ve already known for months now, that she is indeed pregnant by lover Antwaun, and not gaining weight to play Mahalia Jackson in a biopic. Although she went to great lengths to hide it for a long time, she is ready to reveal the truth to her fans. Congrats! Shoot, I love the babies…
You are the first person that I share this news with, and I share this with you because I can relate to you. And for awhile I walked around, figuring out what will they say, like what will they think about me. But now I tell you I don’t live my life for folk.
So, this child that I carry, God has given me this child. And I don’t have to hide it from none of y’all. O_0
Watch the video of her announcement via @msicandi when you continue… I don’t know what took her so long, it’s not like she was doing a good job of hiding it, we all know Fannie like to be nearly naked, so these mumu dresses she was sporting were a tell tell sign...
