Tameka Raymond and Sheree Whitfield having been hanging tough this last week. Here are some pics of the two women at the Southwest Atlanta Celebrity Cook-Off and at ATL Live On the Park. Before you know it, Tameka Raymond will be a regular guest star on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Towanda and Trina Braxton were invited as guest judges to the finale of DRAGNIQUE 2, a drag queen super star competition, at Jungle in Atlanta. I don’t know which Braxton sister is my favorite, yet. I can like Tamar sometimes, but I think next to Toni, Trina is my probably favorite Braxton sister. Check out a few pics of Trina with her sister Towanda, picking Atlanta’s next Drag Queen Superstar. Werk!
MrsGrapevine.com caught up with Fonzworth Bentely to discuss his latest music adventure. During the process I learned a lot of new things about the mufti-talented artist. One of the most unique things about Derek Watkins, “Mr. Bentley”, is that he speaks in metaphors; nothing is simple and everything can be broken down into an analogy. He’s very quick witted, and WILL turn the interview on you if you miss a step. We talked about everything from marriage, to having a cancerous tumor the size of a volleyball, his faith in Christ, his first job, and his love of music.
Fonzworth Bentely, named after the character Bootney Farnsworth from the old school movie, Let’s Do It Again, starring Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby, just dropped his mixtape C.O.U.L.O.R.S (Cool Outrageous Lovers Of Uniquely Raw Style). When asked if he finds it hard transitioning as a solo music artist, he replies, “Not really!”
What people may not know is that Mr. Bentley started off in music, playing the violin since the age of two via the Suzuki method, and singing in a local boy’s choir in Atlanta. Not to mention working as Diddy’s assistant and hanging around the likes of Kanye West and Andre 3000 has only helped him to understand the music industry inside out. Fonzworth Bentley has spent the last seven years writing and working on his sound. Many hip-hop blogs were surprisingly impressed by the quality of his skills, “They were probably looking for something they could talk about or laugh about,” he says, but instead they were charmed.
Here are a few pics of Fonzworth Bentley performing live at ATL Live On the Park.

Last year rumors hit the internet that Fonzworth Bentley was engaged and getting married to actress, Fuane Chambers (Watkins), most known for her role as Dorothy Baker in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Faune is pictured below with her husband at ATL Live On the Park). Read More Here…
Alicia Keys has been unable to sell her Long Island mansion, after moving into a Manhattan penthouse with her new husband, Swizz Beatz. Well after slashing the selling price, and after many months on the market, the mansion has finally sold. In order to get rid of everything in the house, Alicia Keys’ estate is hosting an auction. Everything must go including furniture, trampoline, pool table, and dolls.
If you’re in the New York area you can stop by the auction and be the proud owner of celebrity furniture, and knowing Alicia Keys proceeds will probably be donated to good cause. Check out some of the items… Read More Here…
Basketball Wives Season 3Premieres May 30th on Vh1 at 8PM
Shaunie O’Neal answered our prayers, and actually found us a basketball wife, meaning someone who is actually married to man that plays basketball. Her name is Meeka Claxton, however her husband Speedy Claxton is retired. But hey, technically he played basketball and she is his wife, so 1.5 out of two ain’t bad.
Miami will also be sent spinning as a new face is added to the familiar mix, Meeka Claxton, married to retired point guard Speedy Claxton and the co-owner of the Allure Realty Group. With a hands-on approach to life and a never-give-up attitude, Meeka will give her new fellow basketball wives a run for their money.
I heard all of these women are back-stabbing, and as soon as one person walks out of a room or party they start talking about that person. Maybe it’s great publicity or maybe it’s a lot more real than the cast would like to admit. Anyway here is the scoop for Season 3:
It’s Matt Barnes, like I know you’ve never seen him before inside the pages of REGARD Magazine. If you’re like who is Matt Barnes? Let me refresh your memory. You’ve seen him and his fiancee Gloria Govan on Basketball Wives, perhaps you’ve also seen his infamous mugshot on the blogs, or you remember him playing for the Lakers this season. After you see these pictures, he just might stick out in your mind a little bit more. Matt Barnes is easy on the eyes when he’s dressed up instead of tatted up. Check out Mr. Barnes getting his grown man on!
I do try to look pretty fly, LOL. But I can’t take credit for that, I have a dope stylist named Calyann Barnett…she gets all the credit! She took me from my favorite look, which was jeans, a white tee & chucks, to a very fashionable young man. As far as a brand go, the ONLY brand I’m shouting out is mine: “Elusion”
In order to promote healthy skincare, Tatyana Ali, Brandy, and Tempestt Bledsoe take it all off in the name of charity. Check out their “Naked” public service announcement designed to battle skin cancer by encouraging women to wear sunblock. The concept is similar to the PETA campaign, “I rather go NUDE than wear fur,” except that it’s more like, I might as well go NUDE and burn under the sun or age to a crisp rather than wear my SPF 15.
Fox News looks really stupid right now, for trying to expose rapper Common for his “radical” association with President Obama. In an attempt to distract us from President Obama’s successes, or from discussing the real issues concerning medicare, Sean Hannity and other Fox News hosts tried to create faux outrage against Common. Not Waka FlockaFlame, but Common. Not Gucci Mane, but Common. I think most black people as well as hip-hop fans around the world were in a corner somewhere laughing hysterically at the ridiculous claims made by Fox News. Check out Common performing his outrageous, or not so outrageous, poetry during the White House’s Poetry Night:
The only problem here is that Common is the least outrageous rapper. All of this drama started Read More Here…
