Jumping The Broom College Tour: Paula Patton, Meagan Good, Pooch Hall, Laz Alonso

Jumping the Broom publicity is in full force as the movie hits historically black colleges across the nation. I posted pictures of Meagan Good and Pooch All and Clark Atlanta University (CAU), now check out pics from Florida A&M University (FAMU), Howard University, and North Carolina A&T State University (A&T).

If this was a competition of school spirit, FAMU wins hands down. The crowd was unbelievable and the energy was so hype that Pooch Hall took off his shirt to flex a few times.

Lots more pics when you continue, including more of Pooch Hall, Meagan Good, Laz Alonso, and Paula Patton

Down in Tallahassee FL, FAMU students came out in record-breaking numbers to get a glimpse of Good and Hall, who were overwhelmed by the more than 1500 Rattlers that packed “The Set” on Thursday. “Wow, this is insanity!” exclaimed Good. “I LOVE it!” “FAMU has gotta be one of the best schools on the planet,” said Hall from the stage. “You guys rock!”

Pooch Hall and Meagan Good also attended A&T in Greensboro, NC. Meagan Good loses the baseball hat in these pics. Anyone else thinking Pooch Hall and Meagan Good make a cute couple #justasking.

On Tuesday, Meagan Good and Pooch Hall headed over to N.C. A&T State University, where the Aggies rolled out the red carpet for the two Jumping the Broom stars. The day began with a campus press conference and interview with A&T radio station WNAA 90.1. Shortly afterward, over 600 students lined up in front of the Memorial Student Union to get an autograph and a hug from the beloved celebrities. Although a rainstorm forced the Meet & Greet to move inside the Student Union, it couldn’t dampen the spirits of A&T fans, who turned out in droves later that evening for the A&T screening of Jumping the Broom.

Last but not least, Paula Patton and Laz Alonso of This Christmas and Just Wright, hit up Howard University in D.C.

In D.C., Paula Patton and Howard alum Laz Alonso hosted a packed 450+ screening of

Jumping the Broom along with WPGC’s Big Tigger, followed by a lively Meet & Greet with over 100 Howard University press, student VIPs and campus leaders. “Me and my character, Jason, in ‘Jumping the Broom, have a lot in common” said Alonso. “We both come from single mother households and both of our fathers have passed away, so I really connected with [Jason].”

Jumping the Broom in theaters May 6th. Make sure you support this movie because it’s keeping a lot of black actors employed.
