According to Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat has been freed again after an assault conviction that lead to a three year sentence. Da Brat who’s government name is Shawntae Harris, served 2.5 years of the three year sentenced, and was released from jail back in May of 2010  into a work release program. Now it’s official! Da Brat is free from all consequences relating to the assault back in October of 2007. She is no longer in jail, work release program, or a halfway house. Welcome home!
