Rihanna, during a recent trip to Barbados took some time out to mend some old wounds between her father, Ronald Fenty, and the pop star. The two stopped talking after Ronald Fenty kept running to the press to discuss Rihanna’s relationship with Chris Brown after the assault, and to make matter’s worst his addictions caused a huge fight between the two that eventually got him kicked off Rihanna’s tour bus, after he trashed it while drunk.

Well Rihanna missed having her dad in her life, and while in Barbados she made a surprise visit to see her father bringing plenty of gifts. Check out what her father told reporters…

After seeing Regina King on Bravo a little tipsy, I forgot to report the actual good news. Regina King announced that she and actor Malcom Jamal Warner, most famous for his role Theo on The Cosby Show, are NOT engaged, but are dating. Yesterday rumors circulated that the two actors were engaged, but Regina cleared that rumor up last night on Access Hollywood. Well Congratulations anyway to the two of them, they seem to have a lot in common, including the fact that they were both childhood actors. They do make a nice couple!

Regina also covers this latest issue of Essence, where she talks openly about her relationship with Malcom. I knew something was up, Regina has had the most beautiful glow about her these past few months. In fact she seems to get better with time. Check out the Essence cover when you continue… Read More Here…
Ebony magazine is doing it big for the month of February by celebrating black love with three covers featuring the hottest couples in the States, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker, Sean Jay-Z Carter and Beyonce Knowles, and last but not least President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama. I don’t know which cover I like more, but I am glad they are focusing on Black Love.
This issue doesn’t just talk about love among famous people, it takes a hard long look at relationships within the black community.
For example, did you know:
~62% of AA men and women believe there is a one and only soul mate for them
~26% of married African American (AA) women have cheated on their current partner vs. 9% of married AA men
~40% of AA women have used pornography vs. 29% of AA men, and, in the true spirit of Valentine’s Day.

Whoa! I don’t know if I can believe those statistics. Plus the covers for President Obama and First Lady Michelle, as well as Beyonce and Jay-Z, when you continue reading…

Sheila Johnson of BET during a NPR interview on Tell Me More, says Oprah Winfrey’s OWN TV network, lacks diversity, and suggested that the TV mogul should take some risk and invest in African American experts instead of Dr. Phil and Suze Orman. Mrs. Johnson was as polite about it as she could be with such harsh criticism, IDK, a simple congrats would have been nicer.

Check out Sheila Johnson’s comments to Oprah when you continue. BTW, I would argue that BET needs some more diversity, there are other African Americans experts out there that don’t need a reality show. BET definitely has the genre on lock when it comes to African American reality experts, like Frankie.

Phaedra Parks sat down with PopEater for an interview, in which she explains why she decided to do Real Housewives of Atlanta. When asked what she thinks when she sees herself on television, Phaedra Parks had this to say:
At times it’s been very interesting. What you see on the camera is a character, so I sometimes don’t feel it’s who I am as a person off camera.

I didn’t realize Phaedra was playing a character on a reality show, for some reason I thought she was playing herself. Anyway, check out the video as Phaedra explains her reasons for joining the show, and she talks more about her infamous “Sip and See”. SMH! Read More Here…
