Is the media really going to go dingbat crazy with every wardrobe choice from Venus Williams? Granted last year, they had a point because the flesh color bottoms made it look like Venus Williams was playing tennis commando style. I had to zoom in pretty close to see that the bottoms were actually there, and that she wasn’t naked.
This year at the Australian Open, the tennis outfit was brighter, but certainly not worth all the added media attention, or the twitter comments. What’s wrong her tennis fit?

Eddie Murphy was a proud papa last night, and rightfully so. His oldest daughter, Bria is the new face of Dark & Lovely. Last night, Eddie Murphy and ex-wife, Nicole Murphy, celebrated the announcement of Bria as the new new global brand ambassador for Dark & Lovely. Congrats!
Also in attendance, was Nia Long, Tyson Beckford, and Shayne Murphy, the next to the oldest daughter of Eddie and NicoleMurphy. Eddie Murphy has some beautiful girls.
When it’s real love, why waste anytime? Singer Monica reportedly married to NBA Baller Shannon Brown in small ceremony in Los Angeles back in November of 2010. I am sure it was just the legal ceremony, and a bigger wedding will take place later this year.
Speaking of marriage. Singer Keyshia Cole says she getting married next month, but is not sure on what date. She says it will be a drama free event, that she’s planning, and it will be sometime around February 17th or the 22nd.
She also fired long time manager Manny Halley. Apparently, Keyshia Cole is trying to grow as a person and an artist, and Manny is still up to old tricks.
This story just keeps going in circles and twist. Just when I thought this case was over, Radar Online pulls more evidence out the blue. According to leaked e-mails, Fantasia was definitely trying to lure Antwun Cook away from his wife, Paula Cook while he was living at home. Will this case ever end? Hasn’t everyone moved on?

I was on twitter and someone joked about how many blacks actually know the Negro National Anthem: Lift Every Voice and Sing. When I was young we performed this song at church functions and in school for special holidays, and we were required to memorize parts of Martin Luther King’s speech, I Have A Dream.
Now, I realize we no longer sing Lift Every Voice, and then it hit me we no longer need our own National Anthem. With the election of President Barack Obama, many blacks finally feel like they are Americans, and they embrace The Star Spangle Banner, sometimes with tears in their eyes unlike years past. The journey has been long and of course it’s not over, as many people have become more vocal with their racial stereotypes and disrespect for the President. But, we no longer have to eat out back, or stand on the bus so that a white person can take our seats, we no longer have to move off the side walk to make room for whites, we don’t have to use sir or mam to refer to people younger than us, and if our child whistles at a white girl they want be brutally murdered and lynched.
It’s sad that it may be time to say good-bye to a black tradition, but it’s good news that 40 years after the death of America’s peace leader, we have a black President. Now both songs bring tears to my eyes.
Let us march on, til victory is won…

Vh1 is ventured into scripted TV with a new show called Single Ladies, starring Stacy Dash, Lisa Raye, and Charity Shea, produced by Queen Latifah. With the success of The Game returning to BET, I have a feeling more scripted series will be hitting our favorite cable channels. After all, how many “Love” reality series can one network produce.

Video Vixen by the name of Draya Michele, linked to both Chris Brown and Trey Songz, was arrested for child endangerment and neglect. Andraya M. Howard, 25, is a video “model” who moonlights as an exotic dancer. She is also the mother of a seven year old boy, who called cops after his mother wouldn’t answer her phone while tanning, because he was scared of being left home along constantly. To top it off, cops arrived to filthy apartment:
The apartment looked like it had been ransacked, with women’s undergarments scattered throughout the living room. A small dog was in a cage, and dog feces and dog urine were in several places in the apartment.

Baron “Dirty” Colon from MTV’s From G’s to Gents has been arrested for the murder of Marcelo Vera.
According to the arrest warrant, Colon along with Stephany Concepcion, 26, and two other men known only as “Big Killer” and “Crazy Dead” conspired to rob Vera, 44, who was known to keep large amounts of cash in his home. Concepcion knew the victim and went to Vera’s house just past 11:30 p.m. and signaled to the other men when the time was right for the robbery, says The Miami Herald. However, Concepcion reportedly realized the heist went south when she heard gunshots and saw the men fleeing the scene.
When police arrived Concepcion was arrested, later pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. She has agreed to testify. Colon faces arraignment Jan. 28 in Miami-Dade circuit court. {Source}
