Old School Friday: Another Sad Love Song

Some of my favorite sad songs aren’t really old school songs, Jill Scott and Chrisette Michelle are good at making sad love songs, but since this is Old School Friday, and I had to go back in the vaults and think a little. Lionel Richie popped in my head, and I probably played this song before because it’s in one of my favorite movie, The Last American Virgin, but I can’t help it, this song is just sad.

That’s not it, The Last America Virgin also has another sad love song I love, Just Once by Quincy Jones and James Ingram.

Aretha Franklin Says She Never Had Cancer

Aretha Franklin won’t tell us what the problem was, but she is telling us what the problem wasn’t. According to the singing legend the problem wasn’t pancreatic cancer, or cancer of any sort. All she will say is that she had a severe pain in her side, and doctors resolved the problem.

Via Access Hollywood:

Well, there was just so many wild things out there and just so many things being said that weren’t true; I just felt I needed to address it a little.

The pain was so hard it almost brought me to my knees. I was in Birmingham and then Boston and after that concert the same pain hit me again… I really just began to not feel good and I said, ‘Oh, no this is it, I can’t do any more concerts till I know what the problem is.’
