The Soul Train Music Awards is back again this year in Atlanta. To kick off this week of exciting entertainment, the award show created ATL Live on the Park, a special awards dinner hosted by Shanti Das and Kenny Burns at the Park Tavern. The show introduced new talent Rhonda Nicole, as well as performances by Purple Reign, Ronnie Devoe, Doug E Fresh, and Donnell Jones. Sir Mag has the photos from the event.
This event is worth promoting because we are in a search of real music, during this time of musical chaos. Rhonda Nicole has a beautiful voice and is the real deal. Am I biased, yes! She is a fellow college-mate from Dallas, who has followed her dream. I am just proud of my peers for keeping their dreams in their heart. Why I entertained this foolishness this morning, I do not know, but my side is hurting from the laughter (thanks to Miss Jia). Anyway, a young rap stan wrote a “heart-felt” message to Nicki Minaj & Lil Kim and how their rap beef is destroying the game.
You know how black men get when they tired of black women fighting, arguing and ish, they go get them a white a bish. A white bish don’t do none of that ish, white bishes get along, they know how to get along, they can get money together, they can go on tour together, look at Cindy Lauper and Lady Gaga. Obviously President Obama has done a lot just two years of his administration, but for whatever reasons the administration has a hard time selling his accomplishments to the American people, even though he has achieved a lot. A new website, What the F*ck Has Obama Done So Far, was launched just two days ago to help administration toot their own horn and has already gone viral with 4 million hits.
Honestly, I don’t know how President Obama can promote his accomplishments in a political world that runs off of hyperbole, sound bites, and just plain on lies. How do you fight stupidity like Obamacare will lead to Hitler concentration camps? If people want to believe it, they just will no matter how illogical it is.

About a year ago we did an interview called Rising Star Meet J Kristopher.
