Kanye West album debuts at #1 taking the top spot over Nicki Minaj who came in at #2 with impressive first week sales. Kanye West actually did slighter better than projected with limited marketing, and no major hits off the album, which goes to show people are thirsty for originality and talent. Hit Daily Double is reporting that My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy sold 518,775 albums in one week, pushing Taylor Swift down to the #3 spot.
Nicki Minaj team projected she would move 400,000 units in first week sales, and she almost hit the target. Final sales reports for Pink Friday shows that Nicki Minaj debut album sold 371,049 copies. Not bad!
Bobby V is back with a new song entitled, Words. It’s a nice mid-tempo groove that’s very easy on the ears. The concept of the song is action speaks louder than words when searching for “wifey” material. In other words a good woman is hard to find, too. Last night the new couple made their second public appearance as a couple, but truth be told they have been dating for a little over a month. I’m not going to lie, they make a cute couple. I’m surprised to see Kim Kardashian dating outside her race, you know what I mean.

Rihanna can talk about whatever she wants, whenever she wants because she’s a grown woman. Likewise she can stop talking whenever she wants, too. In a recent tweet addressing the topic of Chris Brown, Rihanna reveals that she’s tired of people asking her about the assault, and yet she keeps talking about the assault nearly two years later. I don’t get it, who’s making her talk.
In all the interviews there is no additional insight, no new comment on what lead up to that night, or no new information regarding their relationship and how it spiraled out control. Just pretty much what’s in the affidavit and how it made her feel and how happy she is to be free from it all. If she’s not going to use it to empower young women and if she doesn’t want to be a spokesperson for domestic violence, then what is she using it for? IDK, maybe talking is just therapeutic…
