This does not look good for Bishop Eddie Long, a third accuser has come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct and sexual coercion. Jamal Parris (23) has a similar story to that of Anthony Flagg (21) and Maurice Robinson (20). Parris was employed by the church as a Spiritual Son which lead to more individual time alone with Bishop Eddie Long.

Check out what Jamal Parris had to say in his lawsuit, if more victims come forward Bishop Eddie Long may be in a lot of trouble, especially if the victims are under age. If this is a shake down, may the God deal with the accusers accordingly. I do wonder why they’re filing a civil lawsuit instead of criminal charges, surely the statue of limitations on molestation hasn’t run out. If these allegations are true, he’s need to be in jail, too. This is all one big mess…

Parris joined the New Birth Church with his mother in 2001 when he was 14-years-old, states the suit. According to the lawsuit, Parris was employed by the church as a Spiritual Son and began spending individual time with the pastor between 2004 and 2005. During this time when the alleged abuse took place, Long would encourage Parris to call him “daddy,” states the suit.

The suit reads: “Long engaged in sexual touching during their encounters and then escalated the activity to oral sodomy and other acts of sexual gratification…Long would then discuss the Holy Scripture to justify and support activity.”

Parris had no positive father figure in his life and the pastor would apparently use this to his advantage telling the young boy that he would “never let another man hurt him like his father did,” according to the lawsuit.

Attorney BJ Bernstein , who is representing the three plaintiffs in the civil lawsuits against Long, claims there could be more victims and says she can prove the allegations.

“Some of these sexual relations not only occurred on these trips, they occurred in that church,” said Bernstein. {Source}

I too was wondering why they filed civilly as opposed to criminally. However, they may not have enough evidence to prove without a reasonable doubt that he did anything considered criminal, but enough to win their case in civil court. Civil lawsuits do not require the amount of evidence, and they could probably be looking for the large monetary payout in the end. I’m with you though, IF the allegations against Rev. Long are true, he does deserve some jailtime. However, if these men are doing this for financial gain, to tarnish his image, or as a way to offset the criminal charges that the one is facing… They need to be sued. Jmo.

  They can’t file criminal charges because in Georgia it’s not a crime. The age for consenual sex in Georgia is 15 or 16. Go figure. The boys were at least 18 I believe.

    Yes….15 or 16 is the age in Georgia. It’s crazy! Most people are also speculating that the reason they broke in his office back in June is to find more evidence i.e. pics, texts, emails that they could use for their upcoming case.

I dont know what to believe, but I dont think any person would come forth with those graphic details,unless it was the truth!!
I went to a church for 8 years and the pastors daughter always seem to have an awesome reltionship with her dad (preacher). In 1997, she came forth to other youth in the church and said she was being molested by her dad(the preacher)!!! It was sickening to me and a few others, I instantley stopped going to this church when I found out. A few stayed but all for the wrong reasons….he was convicted and everything! His daughter is now gay….SMDH!!!!! I FEEL LIKE IT WAS NOT A SEXUAL PREFERENCE BY CHOICE…SMDH…BUT SHE NO LONGER TRUST MEN, AND I CAN UNDERSTAND HER FEELING THAT WAY! After that incident @ the church I went to for all those years, I have issues going to church b/c I feel like it may be all a front. I still believe in God and he lives in me everyday, I just hope I can gain trust again and find a good church home to attend!

  People will do bad things, including preachers. But, don’t base your faith on the man, base it on the Lord.

well thank God its not a RC priest … in most people minds on the RC priest does things things like this.These so called pastors are hypocrites and need to be punish…let him read holy scriptures in prison !

Bishop Long’s lawyer kept trying to make this about an “Attack” on the church on the radio this morning. This has nothing to do with the church this is about the evil of one man, the church can find new leadership. He’s trying to get those 25,000 soldiers hyped up in this mess.

And I saw the pictures that the Bishop texted those boys, and let me say NO STRAIGHT MAN sends another man pictures of himself in the bathroom mirror wearing a muscle shirt and biking shorts.
