Beautiful black women are all over the red carpet at the 20th Annual NAACP Theater Awards. Ashanti looks amazing!. Normally, I don’t understand her fashion choices, but she pulls it off this time. Meagan Good remains my girl crush, and you can see why. Lance Gross representing for the men, although he doesn’t have that same appeal without Eva on his arm.

Kat Stacks=Bad News. Kat Stacks has officially angered another male celebrity, NBA player Carmelo Anthony. I’m still trying to find the original tweets that started this mess, I’ll update them as they come in. So according to CBS Sports, Kat Stacks started trouble with Carmelo Anthony through twitter, angry words were exchanged and Carmelo tweeted the following:
Carmelo also apparently posted a pic of $5k in cash. And then he tweeted that whoever slaps Kat Stacks should record it and send it to him. Of course after word got out, Carmelo’s wife, La La Vasquez, said that someone hacked into his account. Well, Kat Stacks just tweeted that she filed a police report against Carmelo. Why won’t Kat Stacks go away? I’m afraid something really bad is going to happen to her. And what is going on with all this violence against women?

Common has an air about him that is chill but very appealing. He certainly doesn’t seem to have a specific type. He dated Erykah Badu for a long time and then Serena Williams. Last week Mariah Carey addressed pregnancy rumors by saying she was superstitious (insinuating that she didn’t want to jinx her pregnancy). Being the loyal husband that he is, Nick Cannon quickly recanted on behalf of Mariah and said the following:
I think it’s more of a spiritual thing. Like trying to stay true and stay private for as long as you possibly can. She wants to keep as much privacy as she possibly can.
I can totally understand that. A lot of women have miscarriages within the first several months. I think Mariah and Nick are being really smart about it until she is in the “safe” zone. Nick is excited to be a dad. He says,
I love kids. I’m all about kids. I’m a big kid!
In any case, I hope all goes well with their pregnancy!!
Usher sat down with People several days ago and talked candidly about being a father and about his relationship with ex-wife, Tameka Foster. Usher says that he doesn’t regret his relationship with Tameka and that he loves her as the mother of his children, but that they weren’t compatible. He said:
We’re two different people; we have two different goals. It just was never going to work out 100 percent.
Usher also said that things changed shortly after the birth of their youngest child. He and Tameka disagreed on everything and didn’t even have similar parenting styles. But he still says he doesn’t regret his marriage to her.
I appreciate the relationship for what it was. Even though it didn’t work out, I’m glad we got together. I love her as the mother of my children; we just couldn’t be married.
Well at least Usher and Tameka can get along for their two children. Sometimes you’re just not meant to be with a person –no matter how much love you thought there was in the beginning.
Antoine Dodson appeared on the Today show looking quite fly with blow out promoting his new song, Run & Tell That, now #35 on iTunes.
Normally, I shake my head in silence when I seem my relatives on TV acting up, but in the case of Antoine Dodson, I am happy he has the sense to use this as an opportunity to make money the Kardashian way. Many people are upset because they feel Antoine Dobson perpetuate stereotypes that black people try so hard to escape. I agree with them in a sense, but in this case it’s not a someone else making money off our “hoodness”, it’s Antoine Dodson capitalizing off himself. Considering, he was living in government housing during a recession, I consider this a blessing. Now, let’s just hope he learns how to save and invest.
BTW, Who does his hair? His hair was laid this morning on the Today Show…
