Oh, come on now. I hope this is a joke. According to TMZ, veteran actor Laurence Fishburne’s daughter, Montana Fishburne, is set to do a pornographic movie with Vivid Entertainment. The porn is set to release in August. The 19-year-old Montana, says:

I’ve watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape.

I’m at a loss for words. Her father is a famous actor, I’m sure he has some connections. I’m not sure if I’m more appalled that Montana is doing a porn to become famous, or that she’s using Kim Kardashian as a barometer of success. I have to know what you all think. Wow.

wow… words can’t express how sad this is. what is it about being famous that has people trippin like this? there is definitely a problem within our society when our youth feel that doing porn is not only acceptable, but a savvy career move. gotta be kidding me….

What she doesn’t understand is the fame game works differently for black women and white women, Kim K. can be a ho and still be classified as desirable, a sex symbol, and even a business woman. Kim can stil get a stupid, low self-esteem, rich black man to wife her up in a minute. Thats not surprising in fact she was just bold enough to say kimmy kakes was the reason for her bright idea. But this is what our children are exposed to day in and day out. And unfornatly this is what our kids have to look up to. I do believe when you become more involed in what your childern do and see there outcome will be far more greater then the way these kids lives are turning out to be now.

I guess many of you aren’t paying attention. Media has now boiled down to being famous and rich. Tabloid gossip screams at you everywhere and it is the number one topic of conversation in many young circles. It’s especially true for young women who feel empowered to own their sexuality. And since there are examples of women, like Kim and Paris, who have actually parlayed this into good fortune and fame, the logic is that it will work for me, too. Those of us with common sense understand that nothing is written in stone. What works for one person doesn’t necessarily work for another. Also, sooner or later, the ubiquitous sex tape, will have no value. Good luck Montana!
