Chris Brown got his chance to shine, and shine he did. During an amazing performance, Chris Brown broke down in tears when trying to sing Man In the Mirror, by his idol Michael Jackson. This video is a must see and will be the talk of the internet, if you can’t feel the emotion then something is wrong. I ain’t going to lie, it brought a few tears to my eyes, and I just wanted to hug him.
Chris Brown got to end of his performance and couldn’t sing because he was crying so hard. The audience started singing for him. Anyway, check it out the VIDEO when you “continue”

Crhis Brown’s break down was heart felt but I felt like BET should have chosen someone else to do the Michael Jackson tribute.

@STEFANY, Someone like who? BET, MTV, Grammy’s all tried that and they all failed. Chris Brown has given by far the best tribute.

@Leslie,
In all honesty NOBODY can really do Michael Jackson, but I felt that maybe they should have done it differently.

I agree with Leslie- I think someone a little more calm and collective should have did the tribute to Michael Jackson. I understand C.B was emotionally, and thats fine but I wanted to hear a FULL tribute to Michael Jackson( it was his one year annivsry for heaven sake)!!! Chris Brown could have shared his emotions later…..

@janetfromNC, when it’s real…you can’t control emotion…Chris did a wonderful job…his performance was great! He was calm and collective during his dance performance but when you really think about what impact a person has/had on your life you can’t help but to get emotion…that’s if its from the heart and real..I’m just saying!!

@janetfromNC, Shared his emotions later? Really? How does one go about controlling their emotions when something is truly heavy on their heart? I am interested in learning this technique. Like now I am being sarcastic, but how would I control this response for a more appropriate time? :/

@janetfromNC,
Wow, I can’t believe it. I thought it was genuine, and I thought his performance was great.
Even the crying didn’t ruin it for me. The dancers with nothing but light were off the chain.
Next to Janet, he is the best

This was not the best tribute the one Janet Jackson did at the MTV Awards in all honesty was the best so far. Chris can dance I won’t take that away from him but his moves will never be as crisp and sharp like MJ’s.

@llw88,
That’s why it’s a tribute, if Michael could do it himself, he would have.
I don’t think anyone thinks he’s as great as Michael, but he’s certainly better than the rest of these R&B cats.

@janetfromNC, Not comparing him to God so don’t get hyped, but what to you say about gospel singers that are praising God, but their emotions get the better of them because they are remembering what He’s done for them and what He’s brought them through – they cry and can’t continue the song? Are you saying they need to check those emotions and get through the song without feeling it? I think the young man was caught up with several emotions while singing… thinking about his hero MJ, personal stuff from the past year and the words to the song combined broke him down. I think it was heartfelt and you can’t control that.

Damn Mrs.G u set it off didn’t you? Let me say this the boy is blessed. He’s got talent. Last nite he moved like Micheal like no other. And he can sing his ass off. Now I don’t like what he did, but make no mistake about it he’s diffently blessed if nothing else with talent. talent that I haven’t seen in years. When he broke down last nite I can’t say that I know what he was feeling but I was feeling it 2. you go boy(Gina’s vocie)

I’M SOOOO THANKFUL FOR THIS PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!!!!! he was supposed to do a tribute at last years BET awards but they wouldn’t let him peform, and we had to suffer through all that last minute bullshit that never did MJ any justice (especially that creepy/long ass beyonce performance). I’m so happy they let him perform…. i cried with the man! He never left but i think now hollyweird is finally starting to forgive him and let him come back to doing what only chris can do!
the performance wasn’t about him gaining sympathy from rihanna extremists. it was about him paying homage to his idol. do you honestly expect this man to spend the rest of his life apologizing to people who had nothing to do with the situation? what you all need to do is fall off your high horses because we’ve ALL been in that same situation or know someone that has AND LIFE CONTINUES TO GO ON FOR US ALL. none of us are in a position to JUDGE anyone.
