Drake admits that he way played and used by Rihanna. The questions is why? Maybe to get back at her ex, Chris Brown, or to get a hit song, or just because she can. In a recent interview with New York Times, Drake opens up about his brief affair with Rihanna:
And on “Fireworks” there’s a verse about Rihanna, who asked him last year to write a song for her new album; the two soon began seeing each other regularly, though they never publicly confirmed their brief relationship. “I was a pawn,” Drake said. The song he wrote for her never got released. “You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear,” he said. “I was like, wow, this feels terrible.” But it’s also the new normal, and Drake wonders if real intimacy is now out of reach, maybe irretrievably so. “Did I sacrifice something?” he asked, looking for the black cloud above the silver lining.
Rihanna started a lyrical war of words, and both Drake and Chris can’t stop talking about her. Now, I know why Chris and Drake did that concert together in VA, they now have a common enemy. Drake and Chris Brown fired shots at each other before realizing, they were both caught up in Rihanna’s web. (You go girl, then again it did back fire)

Although Drake has been rapping and acting for years, he is like a newbie to the music biz game where people are constantly showing out for the cameras. Too bad he got his feelings hurt, but it made for good music.
