This is good news to me. Yesterday, there was a video circulating in which Frankie, Keyshia Cole’s mother was starting a false rumors that Keyshia Cole was already married to Daniel “Boobie” Gibson. The video was just a publicity stunt so that Frankie could keep riding her 15 minutes of fame. Another blogger informed me that Frankie could not be trusted on the matters of Keyshia Cole, and later that afternoon Freddy O released a statement from Keyshia Cole and her publicist, Tresa Sanders: (Keyshia also confirms Monica tweets. She is engaged and she is having a boy!)
To all my friends and fans – It’s time that I clear the air. It’s not a secret that I haven’t been in contact with my mother Frankie, and my sisters Neffe and Elite and I never wanted to air out our differences to the public. While I won’t go into detail here I find it necessary to let you guys know I decided to stop communication with them because I was at a point in my life where I needed serenity and peace to move forward. Please know I love my family very much but it was time to let it go. You guys are a witness to a lot of what was happening from watching on air and online. Now that I am becoming a mom my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority. It’s very important to both Daniel and I. My plate is very full; I have a new baby coming, we are planning our wedding and I am working in the studio on a new album that I am close to completing. The stress that my family is giving me with their constant false reports is not healthy and it’s not what I need at this time in my life. Please understand that there are only a few people that can officially confirm or deny anything that’s happening in my life and that’s me, Daniel, and my publicist, Tresa Sanders. And my girl Monica never lies.

In my opinion, Keyshia Cole is doing the right thing. She has done so much for her family that it has to be draining. Everyone of her family members, Frankie, Neffie, and Elite are grown women, and have the tools and resources now, to survive. Keyshia Cole has already done more for her family than a normal person would, which shows the depth of her love. Sometimes tough love is the best the love you can give. {source}

@sweet la, I think that keyisha should give her family anoter chance.She knew that they aint use to nothing and just don’t know how to act. But at the end of the day they are still her family and it is what it is. Keyisha I love you girl and I know it’s hard to deal with crazy family but we can’t choose who we are kin to. In a way you created these monsters and now you just have to let them fiz out. But don’t do that to Neefe’s kids they love you and need you. See what they have as a role model.Don’t leave them alone with the crazies…. Congrats and I hope your life is all that you wanted to be.

@patrice and brittany, u 2 are very ignorant. 1st not all men are the same. Even if they were, her distancing herself from people who clearly don’t give a damn about anybody BUT themselves have nothing to do with her man. She is PREGNANT, and speaking from personal experience being pregnant with a family VERY close to hers, she is doing what she feels is best for her baby and her peace of mind. So stop judging her and take a minute to think about what she may be going through because either way this decision is not easy for her.

@shawnta, I feel that all you ladies have a vaild point, but if in fact her future husband isn’t on point…Keisha got her own back…I feel the same way because I have family that I refuse to deal with because the drama just becomes to much…I don’t love them any less…but she has a child to consider now…and the craziness that goes on with her family is a bit much for a healthy lifestyle for her and her child…we see the things they don’t so she ain’t lieing…I don’t know any of her family personally, but they have their own issues to sort out that has nothing to do with Keisha Cole…having said that…the whole man thing is truly her business no matter the outcome…Keisha has to do what is right and just for her new born son, and if they means protecting him from his own family…well she got to do what is necessary…just because people are related to you don’t mean you have to put up with their ongoing bullcrape…Am sure that in due time things will get better between her and her sister’s and mother…Plus I was sick from season 1 of her show how they all kept their hands out looking for her to do and buy everything…this are grown ass woman with children and the means to do what’s right for themselves…just because you have a famous daughter or sibling don’t mean that have to save you from yourself…be a woman and do what right for you and your family…and at the end of the day that’s is what Ms. Cole is doing…love you Keisha…

Keyshia can’t save people that don’t want to be saved. She provided her family with the resources and support to be better and get better.
As far as that man is concerned, Keyshia has a shot at love just like everybody else. If it doesn’t work, she will be alright.
She knows who was there for her from the beginning, and it wasn’t Frankie.

I’m in a situation like Keyshia’s right now I’m the back bone of my disturbed family and I think she is right in what she’s doing it may be hard to cut your family loose but stress kills and their all grown keyshia has inspired me in a lot of ways believe it or not we have similar hearts. We all need to know that we can’t save every one even if we tried our hardest. I love you Keyshia.

What’s up Keyshia, I feel that you came a long way. I’am very proud of you, and you are a very strong woman. I wish you the best. I also feel that you do need some time to youreslf for awhile and relax. All the thing’s you was dealing with your family It was alot of pressure on you. It’s just like you were carrying alot of weight on your shoulder’s and that wasn’t good. Yes I think you should speak to them every now and then, but you still need some space. Whenever you sing, you always sing from your heart. Your voice is very beautiful and unique. I sing too,I’ve bben singing since I was only 6 years old. I always wanted to be a professinal singer persue music and I’m still working on It. Hopefully one day my wish should come true for me to get a chance to sing on a track with you, like do a duet. It would be so nice to even get a chance to meet you. I want you to keep your head up. keep beleving in yourself. Stay strong, and don’t give up. no matter what anybody says, don’t never let anybody still your joy from you. I love you keyshia ginuely. The sky is the limit.
