In a recent interview with VIBE Magazine, Chris Brown discusses his fustrations with Oprah going in on him before the facts were out, and not allowing him the opportunity to explain what happened. No offense Chris Brown, I like you and I really do, but you have done at least five interviews and have not said anything revealing other than Rihanna was lying about a song you wrote. I know the plea deal prevents you from speaking, but what exactly would you have told Oprha that you haven’t already said.
I didn’t get a call from them or anything. I felt embarrassed, but at the same time I felt stabbed in the back. Ok, Oprah you have so much power and people really listen to what you say. You don’t know anything that went down and you jump to conclusions and start bringing people on the set that have no similarities to me other than a domestic dispute. And then compare them to me when she’s around me and knows me. She could have called me and been like, “Chris, let me get you on my show and I’m going to do this kind of segment.”
I do agree that Oprah was quick to ridicule Chris Brown while at the same time allowing Mike Tyson on the air (he bit a man’s ear off and he beat his wife). I guess she only allow certain domestic offenders on the show, just like she only allow certain rappers. Was Oprah wrong for trashing Chris Brown and not allowing him on her show?
Chris Brown album hit stores today, are you buying the album?

I believe Oprah’s priority is whatever appeals to her largely White female audience, therefore it makes sense she would jump on the media bandwagon that crucified Chris Brown in the wake of the incident. This was the popular opinion. With that said, she’s smart and savvy enough to know sensation drives ratings, so yes, an interview with Mike Tyson years after the offense likely felt just to her, just as the Sarah Palin show. It’s not about principles or moral decisions. It’s the bottom-line. I’m not sure why Chris Brown expected otherwise. He’s still very young and has a lot of learning to do. I wish he’d spend more time educating and enlightening himself, and fall back on the dancing and whining — at least for a while.

@ Kiesh:
I couldn’t have said it better. Chris Brown is young, and that’s the problem I have with him. He doesn’t understand that sorry isn’t enough, and that real people have real consequences. But, he’s learning now, I just hope he gets it, but something tells me he doesn’t.
As far as Oprah, once you know how the system works then there isn’t any need to argue or get upset. Oprah is just another system. I still don’t understand that Sarah Palin interview. Oprah wasn’t buying a word Palin was saying, and just didn’t have the energy to really challenge her lies.

Just wanted to Add Absolute power corrupts. The Oprah at the beginning of her career is not the same Oprah today.
I don’t watch her shows because it does not appeal to me.
Chris needs to realize that not everyone that is cool with you when you are on top are truly your friends.

Oprah showed the entire world that she is a complete fool when she heaped the sins of grown azz men on a boy. a 19 year old boy. It showed everyone she has no common sense. She didn’t know the facts. She didn’t want to know the facts. She embraced old grown men offenders and she hasn’t said a word about charlie sheen pulling a knife on his wife. White folks R sick of her now, and she will be soon gone, buried way down deep in cableland at channel 1 million.
