Let me guess, Alicia Keys brings out the best in you, and Mashonda brings out the worst, right? Swizz Beatz took to twitter to defend his boo, Alicia Keys, (the victim) and to ask us to over look their personal lives and focus on the music. He also said that people who didn’t support the album were “haters” and that we didn’t know the facts.
In his twitter rant, Swizz Beatz laid the facts out, and admitted that his “affair” with Alicia Keys has been going on for two years and started when he was separated from Mashonda. The only problem is that we have pictures of him kissing his wife Mashonda just last year, perhaps he was kissing his wife while he and Alicia Keys were separated. (IDK) The divorce wasn’t filed until February of 2009, must have been a long separation (which doesn’t explain all the pictures of him kissing, hugging, and holding his wife in public, but not his mistress). Mashonda has said time and time again, that the affair started while they were together, and as more and more evidence comes out, it seems like the truth is on Mashonda’s side.
Swizz Beatz is right, it was none of our business, but when he and the others involved in the situation keep going public with it via twitter, then guess what you’re inviting us in. Twitter is a public forum, and while Swizz was trying to defend Alicia Keys, he inadvertently showed us how insensitive he was to his wife’s feelings, and confirmed to us his affair. “I’m a good man”but, I just told my wife to move on via twitter, so that I can defend the woman I’m dating. Ouch!
Last, but not least, we have all done things that we regret. I’m not defending Swizz Beatz or Alicia Keys actions, but just remember let he without sin cast the first stone. The real problem is that Alicia Keys sings about womanhood, and dating a married man is violation of the brand she created. So it’s not a problem with her private life, it’s a problem with how she’s marketed; we’re no longer buying the female empowerment brand. If it was Lil Kim, no one would have batted an eye.
Mashonda wrote the words, “I’m not going to battle my son’s father and mistress on twitter. Y’all won.” I can’t help but see how much she’s hurting, and I don’t care if Mashonda keyed his car, was acting psycho, being a gold-digger, or if the love was truly gone, in the end she’s the one left out and has to pick up the pieces alone. She’s out matched and out numbered, but they didn’t win. Karma hasn’t had the last word. Team Mashonda!
What is going on in Italy? First they convicted the “American”, and now they’re throwing statues at their elected leader. This isn’t funny, PM Silvio Berlusconi, 73, was struck in the face by a statuette in Milan. The attack broke two teeth, fractured his nose, and left him bloodied and bruised. Other than being psycho (mental illness), authorities do not know why Massimo Tartaglia, 42, decided to attack the Italian leader. According to CNN, their may be a multitude of reasons that lead Massimo Taraglia to attack other than his mental instability:
The conservative media-mogul-turned-politician has been dogged by allegations of corruption and is the middle of a messy divorce from his second wife. He was in Milan, his hometown and political base, to stump for a local political ally.
Milan police said Berlusconi’s attacker hit him with a small, metal souvenir replica of the Doumo di Milano, the city’s central cathedral, but it was not immediately clear whether the man swung at the prime minister with the object in his hand or threw it at him.
