Mary J Blige is a true hero, in my opinion. We have seen her at her lowest of lows, only to change her life around with the help of God and her husband, Kendu Isaacs. Mrs. Mary J has become the best role model for any young woman growing up in the hood, and proof that if you love yourself you can overcome anything.
Here is a picture of Mary J Blige at the ribbon cutting ceremony opening the doors to her new Mary J Blige Center for Women. Gucci co-sponsored the event. The new women’s center is designed to aid women in bouncing back from traumatic experiences. The center will focus on creating goals through career development, personal growth programs, and scholarships. Amen!

Maybe I’m just too pragmatic. But why do women wear gowns so long and “flowy” that dragging them through spilt wine, motor oil, water, dog poo, insect carcasses, spit, plain old dirt/mud, cigarette butts, and sundry other contaminants, is just inevitable? Maybe it’s just me.
But Mary J. has got it goin’ on. I appreciate this sista’s humble comportment and grace.

Hello Mary I think it’s a beautiful thing what you are doing. Having been in an abusive marrage for many years. I listen to the Steve Harvy Show this morning and I must agree with all that you said especially where kids are concern. I would like to help in any way that I can with woman who have been through what we have been through. I talk with woman about abusive realatioships and how to help them selves to gwt out of them.Keep up the good work I’m so very proud of what your doing.
