Sherri centers around a newly single mom, paralegal and part-time comedienne/actress who tries to get back into the dating scene and move on with her life after divorcing her cheating husband. Sherri finds solace and support among her girlfriends at the office while juggling her hectic life. Also starring in the series are Tammy Townsend (Lincoln Heights), Kali Rocha (Grey’s Anatomy), Elizabeth Regen (The Black Donnellys) and Kate Reinders (Ugly Betty). Terri Minsky (Less Than Perfect, Lizzie McGuire) has been named writer/executive producer of Sherri. The program will also be executive produced by Nina Wass and Gene Stein (Less Than Perfect), while Dave Flebotte (Desperate Housewives), who executive produced the pilot, will be a consultant. Shepherd, who will continue to co-host the hit ABC daytime talk show The View, will serve as a co-executive producer of Sherri. The comedy reunites Shepherd, Minsky, Wass and Stein, who last worked together on the ABC sitcom Less Than Perfect.

If Essence Atkins can’t find a man, that means the dating scene is throwed. FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Police in Framingham, Mass., say an illegal immigrant from Guatemala entered a police station, told officers he had stolen another man’s identity and asked to be deported because he could no longer make ends meet in America.
Police told The MetroWest Daily News they arrested 29-year-old Carlos Boc after he confessed Saturday night.
Lt. Paul Shastany said Boc told police he wanted to return to Guatemala but can’t afford a ticket. He told police he has no job or money and is worried about surviving the winter. He told police he came to the U.S. 13 years ago.

The YBF has learned that actress Lisa Raye and political figure Reverend Al Sharpton has been dating for months now. The celebrity blog site was informed by a major publicist (who would like to remain nameless) that the couple who are both pending divorces are indeed a couple.
The source even went on to say that Lisa is media hungry and wants to be with someone who can get her in high society and political events. As for Al, who may just be looking for an arm piece.
16 year old honor student Derrion Albert was beaten to death Thursday afternoon when trying to help a fellow student when a gang fight broke out.
Workers from a local community center rushed to assist Derrion when he failed to get up after the attack. Unfortunately it was too late. He suffered a fatal bash to the head.
This is absolutely no words for what happened here. It is such a shame. A young man with a bright future in the wrong place at the wrong time. Rest in peace Derrion.
