DJ AM Last Words on Twitter: New York, New York. Big city of dreams, but everything in New York ain’t always what it seems.
Rest In Peace. DJ Am (36) one of the most sought after DJs, and ex-boyfriend of Nicole Richie was found dead shirtless in his Manhattan apartment at 5:20 pm. After responding to a call from roommate, cops had to breakdown the door to enter, only to find DJ AM listless with a crack pipe and prescription drugs nearby.
This is such a tragic way to die considering he and close friend, Travis Barker, just survived a plane crash last year. It’s no secret that DJ Am had been battling addiction over the years, but it’s just sad to see him leave like this. I bet the painkillers were a result of the plane crash and it just enabled the addiction. So Sad!
Many celebrities took to twitter to express their deepest regrets:
My deepest condolences for DJ AM, you were a great artist and will be severely missed. My thoughts and Prayers to his family and friends. – Shanna Moakler
I can’t believe this I’m in shock. why? why? r.i.p. adam. – Lindsay Lohan
In complete shock. I really want to use words right now but I can’t get em. F***. – John Mayer
DJ AM Thoughts and Strength goes out to friends and family…. Such a hard year. – Solange Knowles
Love to my boy AM. – Ashton Kutcher
RIP MY MAN DJ AM I CANT BELIEVE THIS. – Jermain Dupri
Former Atlanta housewife Deshawn Snow revealed in a recent interview with OK! magazine some new projects she currently has in works since appearing on the popular reality show, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”. Deshawn talks about getting her very own reality show, a children’s book, a cartoon series and her support of her fellow housewife Nene Leakes.
On Her Own Reality Show
“It’s kind of like Top Model meets Charm School,” DeShawn tells OK!. “We really want to give them a chance and the people we are looking for are people who have been given up on or they have given up on themselves, they had children at a young age or they were on drugs, whatever, because you can really turn your life around.”
On Being “Too Nice” For Reality TV “Not everybody has as big a personality as NeNe (Leakes),” DeShawn tells OK!. “I thought I provided the balance. Not everybody’s up here and not everybody’s down here. I thought it was a good mix but I understand you need drama.”
On Supporting Her Fellow Housewives
“(My kids and I) were at Barnes and Noble for summer reading stuff and I saw (NeNe’s) book,” she says. “I was excited for her because I want to support her and they say ‘Mom, why are you buying her book?’ Because they remember her face. I said, ‘well why not? I want to support her. One day Mommy’s books will be here too.”
I was actually disappointed to see her go. I would agree with Deshawn when she said she brought balance to the show. We love drama! But it’s good when someone helps to balance out the equation! All drama is not good all the time.
Last night in NYC, LeToya Luckett celebrated along with some celeb friends the release of her sophomore album Lady Love at club Cain. Two artists I was surprised to see there, Tank and Olivia! Where have they been?!
This probably not safe for work, but it’s really funny. The crazy things celebs do when they don’t think anyone else is watching. I tried to post this video yesterday of Kandi and Fantasia, but it was jacked from Youtube so fast. Thanks to World Star Hip Hop all is not lost. Yes, Hoodtube saved the day.
It was hard for me to choose a song because I like a little of everything, therefore, no one would be surprised. I have showcased every genre possible, so what could I possible pick… hmmmm…Then it hit me, I bet you didn’t know that I love movie soundtracks. One of my favorite soundtracks is from the movie O! Brother Where Are Thou. It must be the Southern girl in me, but something about this movie reminds me of Sunday mornings at my grandma’s house in Mississippi before we had all these gospel stations. For your listening pleasure, I give you some delta folk.
