There is no explanation needed, a quitter is a quitter. Democrats should forever bran her as a quitter, and if she does that to the state of Alaska, imagine what she would do to this country. You don’t step down without a warning because you love your state, you step down without a warning because of selfish ambitions or personal mistakes. Which one is it Sarah Palin because no matter how you spin it, this is a political bull.
On Friday afternoon, Sarah Palin announces she’s resigning from her post as Governor because she loves the state of Alaska. She decides to make the announcement on the close of a media week, with this statement:
“People who know me know that besides faith and family, nothing’s more important to me than our beloved Alaska, serving her people is the greatest honor I could imagine…I am determined to take the right path for Alaska even though it is not the easiest path…Once I decided not to run for re-election, I also felt that to embrace the conventional ‘Lame Duck’ status in this particular climate would just be another dose of ‘politics as usual,’ something I campaigned against and will always oppose. It is my duty to always protect our great state. With that in mind, my family and I determined that it is best to make a difference this summer, and I am willing to change things, so that this administration, with its positive agenda, its accomplishments, and its successful road to an incredible future, can continue without interruption and with great administrative and legislative success. I look forward to helping others – to fight for our state and our country, and campaign for those who believe in smaller government, free enterprise, strong national security, support for our troops, and energy independence.”
If people fall for the spin she puts on that statement, then they deserve whatever comes with it. This is simply personal ambition getting in the way of public obligations. She took an oath to uphold her position as governor, and she gives it up because she loves the state.
Conservatives are spinning it to blame it on the media. The stupid theory that the media is unkind, is also bull. Give Me A BREAK! Obama has a whole network (FOX News) dedicated to destroying any thought he has. Then there is Rush Limbaugh and his racist legion calling him a spook, a socialist, illegal alien, terrorist, and a fascist. So in my eyes she is a simply QUITTER.

This is all over the news, especially CNN. Only Sarah Palin will know why Sarah Palin is bailing out of the political game. I think she has a master strategy in motion.

She may be a quitter but believe me, that is not how this is going to be spent. There are some who are waiting for the other show to drop and that there is some deep dark reason she’s resigning. But, as I stated over at SjP’s she thinks she can beat Obama in 2012. She might be the best the got right now given the fact that Ensign and Sanford seem to have problems with their zippers.

I’ve seen reports that she is supposed be getting groomed to run against Obama in 2012. If this is true, it’ll definitely take them at least three years to get her to speak coherently. I definitely don’t think this is the last we hear of her.
