First, I like to give special thanks to Cotten Kandi. I was out of town this weekend enjoying my family reunion in St. Louis, MO and during my absence she made sure the site was updated. Please check out her blog, and show her some love.
Honestly, I am concerned about Angela Simmons. I’ve seen these pictures circulating, and people made comments like, “she’s just dieting,” or “she’s still dieting.” I think we have gone passed a step pass dieting into an area of concern.
Hollywood is hard and you have to fight everyday to love your curves. So many young women are falling victim to eating disorders and plastic surgery to fix things that aren’t broken, because the industry set standards that are unrealistic. I love the Simmons family, and from watching Angela Simmons on Run’s House, I really thought she was unique and had a strong sense of self, and I do not want her to fall into the trap. So I hope everything is alright, and that Reverend Run is staying on top his daughters, even if they are grown, because the industry is just not nice.

Born June 6, 1896, the world’s oldest man, 113-year-old World War I veteran Henry Allingham, died Saturday after spending his final years reminding Britain about the 9 million soldiers killed during the conflict.
Allingham was the last surviving original member of the Royal Air Force, which was formed in 1918. He made it a personal crusade to talk about a conflict that wiped out much of a generation. Though nearly blind, he would take the outstretched hands of visitors in both of his, gaze into the eyes of children, veterans and journalists and deliver a message he wanted them all to remember.
“I want everyone to know,” he told The Associated Press during an interview in November. “They died for us.”

According to fellow blogger Freddy O, Frankie and TLC’s Chilli almost had it out after Frankie got wasted!
The altercation took place at Ryan’s Anniversary party 2 weeks ago and was really just a misunderstanding. Frankie wanted to take a picture with Chili cause she’s her biggest fan.
All I am going to say is Frankie had too many drinks and her alter-ego took over. Chili who was doing an interview at the time was caught by surprise when Frankie ran over to give her a hug. Frankie didn’t like Chili’s return hug.
Chili then walked to where Yung Joc was standing not thinking anything of it and started conversing with him. Out of nowhere, here comes Frankie leaping on top of me trying to get Chili and pushing everyone out of the way in the process.
“You think you better than me,” ” You think you better than me” again Frankie shouted to Chili. Remember, by this time Frankie was officially lit! Chili asked if she was ok and then Frankie tries to grab her again. Chili pushed her hand away and stating “Are you serious?”
Frankie then yelled “my daughter is better than you any way.”
This has got to be embarrassing for Keyshia! I mean, great that she helped her mother get on her feet and off drugs, but can you not bring unnecessary attention to yourself Frankie!
I really don’t know what to think about this, but Phi Beta Sigam might have gone a little too far.
The historical black fraternity has voted to induct former President Bill Clinton as an honorary member. Clinton is the first U.S. president to be inducted into a historically black fraternity.
Phi Beta Sigma President Paul Griffin Jr. said Friday that Clinton is the first U.S. president to be inducted into a historically black fraternity.
The fraternity voted Tuesday for Clinton’s induction at its 95th Anniversary Conclave in New Orleans, La.
Stevie Wonder, Al Roker, Rev. Al Sharpton and jazz musician Ramsey Lewis are also honorary members of Phi Beta Sigma.
The fraternity was founded in 1914 at Howard University in Washington, D.C. It has more than 150,000 alumni and college members in about 500 chapters throughout the U.S., Caribbean, Africa and Asia.
I don’t want to create any controversy, but what did Bill Clinton really do for black people to have been so accepted by the black community and inducted in this historical fraternity. Please refresh my memory because I am drawing a blank.
I remeber Bill being a charismatic president and speaker, he had a likeable personality and was concerned with issues concerning all minorities (not only blacks), but what is his significance in the black community and issues?

Noticeably absent?
Janet Jackson‘s longtime music-exec boyfriend, Jermaine Dupri. (A pal says Dupri skipped the memorial because he “doesn’t attend funerals.”)
And for good reason. “His friends are telling people it’s over,” a source tells the new issue of Us Weekly, on stands now.
Echoes another: “They have been moving in different directions for a while.”
So what drove Jackson, 43, and Dupri, 36, apart after nearly seven years?
“You shouldn’t mix business with pleasure,” a mutual pal explains. (Dupri produced several tracks on her last two CDs.) “Janet felt their lives were too crossed and they should have kept things separate.”
Plus, the polar opposites were never too compatible.
“Jermaine likes to be out there, mingling with everybody, and Janet’s more shy.” (And secretive: She kept her nine-year marriage to Rene Elizondo hidden until their 2000 divorce.)
Meanwhile, Jackson is still deeply mourning the death of her big brother.
“She’s devastated,” an insider says. “She’s busy caring for Michael’s kids. Janet’s the family’s backbone.”

Her name is Maria Belen Chapur and she has just been introduced to the world of paparazzi. New photos have been released of Sanford’s mistress while she was shopping for groceries.
