While speaking during the Cable portion of the 2009 Summer Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena, CA yesterday, Monica revealed she will be on her own reality show titled ‘Monica’ that will makes its debut on BET this fall, October 27th at 10pm.
The show, said to be an eight episode series, will take you through Monica’s journey to record her fifth studio album ‘Still Standing’, the development of her children’s clothing line Regions of Rock and being a full-time mother. The show is executive produced by Monica along with James Dubose of DuBose Entertainment.
While taking a stroll on the streets of New York yesterday, Kelis was spotted with her and Nas’ newborn son Knight Jones.
It’s a little early to be taking a newborn for a stroll, epecially because she just gave birth about a week ago. But, I must add, she did a good job of keeping the photogs at bay.
The season premier of the Real Housewives of Atlanta took place last night, and there is no better place to watch it than with your fellow bloggers on twitter. Anyway, before the show aired, NeNe Leakes and KandiBurruss got into a shouting match live on the radio. I am Team NeNe all the way, right or wrong.
So during the shouting match (mostly NeNe yelling), Kandi accused NeNe of calling fellow cast mate, Kim Zolciak, a stripper in her new tell all memoir. Kandi then said she didn’t read this rumor online on the blogs, but that she read an excerpt from pre-release copies of the book. Sorry, Kandi I have to call you out on this, because that rumor started with New York Daily News, and not the publisher of the book:
And while the book is about Leakes’ life, she’s also talking about her onscreen frenemy Kim Zolciak. In the tome, Leakes will reportedly out Zolciak’s past as an Atlantic City stripper who went by the name of Barbie. [Source]
So Kandi is just spreading rumors while claiming them as fact, and NeNe Leakes called the radio show to put Miss Kandi in her place. WARNING:This will get ugly toward the end.
Ciara worked the red carpet in red at the Express Celebrates TXT L8TER Denim Campaign Party. It’s a lot of red, but it’s something different for Ciara, and I think I like it. Ciara, unlike Rihanna or Beyonce has yet to find her style, but I like watching her process.
Not Again! Kanye West has put his foot in his mouth again. Mr. West want to be called the new “King Of Pop”. He’s even gone as far as trying to contact the Jackson family to gain permission to use this title. He’s been unsuccessful so far.
Kanye was quoted as saying, “You know everyone loves and respects Michael but times change. It’s so sad to see Michael gone but it makes a path for a new King of Pop and I’m willing to take that on. There’s nobody who can match me in sales and in respect so it only makes sense for me to take over Michael’s crown and become the new King,” said West. “First there was Elvis, then there was Michael, now in the 21st century its Kanye’s time to rule. I have nothing but respect for Michael but someone needs to pick up where he left off and there’s nobody better than me to do that. I am the new King of Pop.”
I’m absolutely appalled at the nerve of Kanye! He’s got along way before he can hold the title of anyone’s king! Wow, the nerve!
Chris Brown and Rihanna are walking a fine line to make sure they keep their distance as mandated by the judge. Are these two just full of coincidences, or just maybe they are soul mates and are drawn to each other? However, this is the second incident in one week. Or maybe New York is just a small city? My theory is that it’s make for great publicity to be “together”, but not “together”, and they are walking that line of media buzz. Whatever the reasons, it’s working because everyone is talking about what’s going on with Chris Brown and Rihanna.
Last night Rihanna dined at Cipriani in NYC, and right outside the restaurant, Chris Brown was seen passing by the same restaurant in a black SUV. I know things get blown out proportion, and he could have just been driving by, but I will leave that up to you to decide…
I guess celebrities are starting to use twitter to show off their sexiness! After Soulja Boy debut is not so discrete twit pics recently, Bow Wow decided to step it up a notch, adding shots of rumored girlfriend Rosa Acosta, who he refers to as “R”.
Too bad his followers thought the girl had man hands!
