I do feel bad. Usher has been getting a lot of negative publicity due to his relationship with Tameka Foster, but he should definitely have more coverage on the great things that has gone under the radar. Usher has been to the White House, and now he’s in L.A. Here is a picture of Usher with children from Grape Street Elementary School during LA’s Best Annual Brunch. This event was held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.
Fantasia was also spotted tearing up the stage at The 25th Annual Chicago Gospel Music Festival at Millennium Park. I’m sure her perfprmance was as electrifying as that blue top.
Mariah Carey, Pattil Labelle, Quincy Jones, Bill Cosby, and Ruby Dee attended the Apollo Theater 75th Anniversary Gala, held at the famous Apollo Theater in NY.
Last, but not least Laila Ali hit up the 24th Annual Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Sports Spectacular at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in L.A. She looked refreshing in peach from her head down to her toes. Gotta love the paps.

Lalia is looking well. On Usher, I remember he came down here last year to survey damage to the 9th Ward or the slow progress, but didn’t want it publicized. Somebody should interview him on his philanthropy philosophy. Some stars are low-key about giving back while others want everything they do to be a photo op. What motivates him would be interesting.
