The AP is reporting that Usher has offically filed for divorce:
ATLANTA – Court records show singer Usher has filed for divorce from Tameka Foster Raymond after less than two years of marriage. The 30-year-old Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Usher Raymond IV, filed the petition Friday in Superior Court in Atlanta. The court record did not give any details about the split between the R&B star and his wife, who were married in August 2007.
Everyone knew this was coming, and just because we want to be the first to post doesn’t mean it isn’t sad. We should be cautious and wait until Monday, when we can verify this story. Usher was smart to file at the end of the day, keeping speculations going until Monday. But according to AP, papers have officially been filed. Tameka leaked the story weeks ago, just click here and here. I just want to say, I get it now.

You’re right, it’s not surprising, but it’s too bad because marriage is not a game, and now there are two children involved. This relationship seemed doomed from the start and at times it looked like he was marrying her for all the wrong reasons, but only they need to answer for their relationship and I hope the public’s opinion of her (which was not very high) had nothing to do with his decision. On the flip side, stuff happens and at the end of the day they need to be happy whether that’s together or not.

It’s about time. I’m kinda glad so hopefully he will change some songs on his album and put some anger and emotion in his songs. That is when he is at his best.

Maybe his record sales will go back up,When you start having problems with your own mother when she was there with you from the start over some old looking coon with a ready made family,he should have known better,I was so surprised at ushers actions.People need to stop jumping into marriage,she knew what she was doing having his kids back to back,now she will always have a piece of the pie.

that’s what everyone is saying, hopefully this will make for a good album. As mean as Usher fans can be, I think they had his best interest in mind, all along.
