What is going on with Irv Gotti and The Inc. these days. Weeks ago Irv did an interview with MTV where he stated he would release Ashanti from the label because their relationship isn’t the same anymore. Now, Lloyd, another artist on the label is parting ways with his one time mentor.
R&B singer LLOYD has parted ways with his longtime record label The Inc.- just a month after ASHANTI walked out of her contract at the music firm.Ashanti left the label, run by music mogul Irv Gotti, in May (09) after years of reportedly frosty relations with The Inc. bosses.And Lloyd has now followed her out the door after releasing three albums with the company – but insists the split was amicable.He tells AllHipHop.com, “I’m ready for a change. There’s no bad blood. I just feel I need to take more control over my career and get a fresh start. Hopefully Irv can understand my position.”Lloyd’s manager, Henry ‘Noonie’ Lee, adds: “Even though Lloyd is appreciative of the opportunity that has been afforded him by The Inc, he feels it’s time for him to move on and seek opportunities that will allow him to build and enhance his brand.” {Source}

Queen Latifah opens up in the latest issue of Essence magazine, revealing her childhood demons about being abused and her fear of commitment.
Of the traumatic experience, Latifah tells that she was violated by a teenage babysitter, saying, “He violated me. I never told anybody. I just buried it as deeply as I could and kept people at an arms length. I never really let a person get too close to me.”
She also admits that, because of the abuse, she’s since struggled with commitment. “I could have been married years ago, but I had a commitment issue.”

I do feel bad. Usher has been getting a lot of negative publicity due to his relationship with Tameka Foster, but he should definitely have more coverage on the great things that has gone under the radar. Usher has been to the White House, and now he’s in L.A. Here is a picture of Usher with children from Grape Street Elementary School during LA’s Best Annual Brunch. This event was held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.
Fantasia was also spotted tearing up the stage at The 25th Annual Chicago Gospel Music Festival at Millennium Park. I’m sure her perfprmance was as electrifying as that blue top.
