UPDATE: It’s official according to the Associated Press, papers have been filed today, Friday June 12th.
ATLANTA – Court records show singer Usher has filed for divorce from Tameka Foster Raymond after less than two years of marriage. The 30-year-old Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Usher Raymond IV, filed the petition Friday in Superior Court in Atlanta. The court record did not give any details about the split between the R&B star and his wife, who were married in August 2007.
UPDATE: “In Touch can exclusively reveal that Usher and his wife, Tameka Foster, are divorcing. “The Grammy winner has been living apart from his wife for nearly a year after almost two years of marriage,” an insider exclusively tells In Touch, adding, “Usher’s primary concern is for his children. He is a great father and just wants to do what is right for them.” The soon-to-be exes have two kids together, Usher Raymond V, 18 months, and Naviyd, 6 months. And the insider says that it’s more than just talk — the divorce papers were filed in Atlanta this morning. The couple has faced problems in the past. In November 2008, In Touch reported that Usher was flirting with girls at a party in Miami, and even asked a model what she was doing afterward. And in February, In Touch revealed that although Usher flew to Tameka’s side after she suffered cardiac arrest from cosmetic surgery in Brazil, he “had no idea that she was there to have surgery.”[Source]

I have been sitting on this story, trying to figure out if I should post it or not. After three sources have confirmed, I decided to go ahead and post the story. One source is from a well known insider, and when the story breaks, I will give her all her props, but until then let’s just say she’s known for knowing things. The second source came via a direct message this morning from “SM”. The last source was none other than Tom Joyner and the Morning Show…
Word on the street is that Tameka Foster is making plans to divorce Usher, and has hired a publicist to help her image throughout the divorce. We all know once the story breaks, she will be labeled every dirty word in the book, because Usher fans simply hasn’t taken to her. Every since the “plastic surgery incident” the couple has not been seen together in public, and recent pictures of Usher flying solo with his son in Miami is only fueling the rumors.
Just remember a month ago, there were rumors circulating about Nas and Kelis divorcing, and although the couple initially denied it, the rumors turned out to be fact. So this is another story that will be proven factual, sooner than you think…

Who cares, these two are old ass news. Who cares about the source every one heard it on Tom Joyner — he should get the credit.
Tired of hearing about this couple and the pub they be trying to get on these pages. It is all a stunt can you see the wife had these people to contact you Mrs. Grapevine — She wants her photos up she wants to be taked about, she is the source. Dame dont let her use you.

Only time will tell! They wasn’t the most compatible couple anyway. I’m sure being married to Usher caused Tameka to be very insecure. He’s younger, talented and many, many women after him! Why else would she sneak out of the country to have plastic surgery, not only that but she probably accuses him of every woman that looks his way! She only wanted the money anyway….so with 2 children I guess she will get what she came to the relationship for!

That is so Lame!!!! She did not marry him for money. She has money maybe not long like his but hell she lives in Atlanta with the low cost of living she is rich. Tameka has been his well paid stylist for years. On top of that she had a decent husband with a nice income. I believe she loves and adores him. Unfortunately she has been talked about and picked apart it is ridiculous. I am happy he married a wonderful black woman and not some woman of another race or one that looks like she is another race. Nothing against light skinned women I am one myself. I just think it is nice to see a woman looking less stereo typical Hollywood looking.
