Here are a few celebs we haven’t seen in a while. Eve, and the two Mrs. Williams were spotted at the New Now Next award ceremony last night.
Eve where have you been? Eve’s definitely been missing in action lately. I’m looking forward to another Eve record and album.
This is a woman that ages well. Vanessa Williams is approaching 50 and she looks great! What ever you’re doing Vanessa keep it up.
Well, guess who was spotted at the award ceremony. Ms. Wendy Williams herself. For someone so critical of others you’d think she made sure she was well put together!
With so much negative news coming through, it’s nice to see a little hope. You want find this in the paper or most media, but Denzel Washington and wife, Pauletta honored students with scholarships for their academic achievements in Science held at the Johnnie L. Cochran Jr. Middle School in Los Angeles, CA.
Denzel is pictured below with two of the recipients of the scholarship, Wes Phillips, and Marcus Gates. The third recipient not pictured below is Marisa Riley. The scholarships are in the amounts of $2000 per month for undergraduate study, $2500 per month for graduate study.

Rihanna was honored at the Island Def Jam Spring Collection Party last night, by mentor L.A Reid. The songstress was awarded with a plaque for selling 12 million records world wide, since her 2005 debut.
The party consisted of Rihann’s label mates Chrisette Michele, Amerie, and (Birthday Sex) to name a few.
I didn’t even know that some of these artists were on the same label. The label has done a great job developing some really talented artists who make great music.

Natalie Cole, 59, is the proud recipient of a kidney. According to her publicist, she is “resting comfortably” at Cedar-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. The daughter of legendary singer Nat King Cole contracted hepatitis C as a result of drug and alcohol abuse during her 20′s. Ms. Cole has been undergoing dialysis 3 times a week, but is now recovering from a donated kidney.
Kelis filed for a divorce from husband Nas, April 30th, and Nas response to the divorce is, “No Alimony”. Kelis is eight months pregnant with her first child (Nas is the presumed father although rumors of infidelity is all over the net). Anyway due to her condition Kelis is unable to work, and do what it is she does. Once agin Nas repsonse is, “No Alimony”. Nas is also seeking joint custody of his son once he’s born, and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t wan to pay child support, either.
In a recent press conference Ashanti stopped by to promote her upcoming project, an off-Broadway production of The Wiz. The production to set to start sometime this summer.
For someone who is about to be dropped from her record label, she sure seems unfazed by the drama. And looks great!
For the summer edition of rollingout.com magazine, editors decided to let Serena Williams grass the cover for not one but three versions of its issue.
In fact, they want the readers to decide which cover you like best. I think I’ll go with the first one.

Daniel Hauser is a 13 year old boy in Minnesota diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. With chemotherapy and radiation he has a 90% chance of survival, with his mom’s alternative treatment he has a 2% chance of living, if that. The mom refused treatment, but the courts sided with the doctor and wants Danny to begin chemo, despite his mom’s unstable frame of mind. Now, the mom and Danny are on the run.
This story saddens me. Number one: I can’t believe with the access of information that people are still uninformed and unaware of simple science. I am a person who does not like to take medicine, and believe headaches and certain ailments can be handled with alternative methods. However, this is cancer. There is no way that she honestly believes some vitamins and ionized water will cure this disease, not God, but minerals.
Number two: We have the freedom of religion, but not the freedom to kill our children because of out wacked out beliefs. The sad thing is the poor boy doesn’t want treatment because he is brainwashed, and doesn’t have the reading or writing skills to know otherwise. I don’t think the government should tell you how to raise your children, but I also don’t think kids should die out of stupidity. I hope we can find Daniel Hauser, and get him treatment.Poor Danny!
For Janet’s 43th birthday, Jermaine Dupri decided to get his girl’s profile tattooed on his rib cage. If that’s not love, I don’t know what is.
As caption to his own photo Dupri wrote oh his blog:
