I just died when I read that quote, is this the man that beat down Robin Givens, and bit off a portion of another man’s ear (Evander Holyfield) I guess it takes one to know one.
In a recent with MTV, Mike Tyson became the latest celebrity to chime in on the Chris Brown/Rihanna fiasco:
It’s none of my business, but you know what I say about that? I understand the situation. I understand passion with young kids. My personal opinion about that is, he’s just a baby. He’s just a little baby that don’t know how to handle his emotions when it comes to a woman. And he probably hears this and thinks, ‘I know how to handle my emotions’; we all think we do. But the fact [is], you look at this person and you might be crazy in love, but we don’t know how to handle those feelings.
You can’t abuse them. It’s really sick what you [can] do. She has a space in your heart and you believe you care about her more than anybody in the world. Do I think it’s right to beat up a woman? No — hell no. Have I hit a woman before? Hell yeah. Was I wrong? Hell yeah. I’m a product of that environment. Do I regret ever doing that? Hell yeah. Would I do it again? Never.
I hope Chris Brown takes Mike Tyson’s advice, because he knows from first hand experience (no pun intended)…

Mike said that like a man that who has obviously experienced some hardships because of his inability to handle his emotions; he gave Chris some solid things to think about.

I like to make fun of him, but at the end of the day, he was speaking truth from experience. It’s sad Robin Givens, gets a bad rap, when he admits to hitting her. I guess no one was surprised that he was an abuser.

Could this be the closest he’s come to admitting he’s been an abuser in the past?
Seriously, I’m asking you because maybe you’ve read whether he’s ever admitted he beat Robin directly. I’ve gotten vicious comments about Robin Givens that I refuse to post because I don’t think they’re true. I think Mike did what she said he did.
I hope his comments for Chris means he’s grown up himself. Sometimes abusive men and abusive women too, for that matter, never do.
And, oh yeah, I saw Eryka Badu tonight. Thoroughly enjoyed her. As children would say, “She rocks totally!”
BTW, I tried several times to visit here Friday. Kept getting a “database error” message. Glad that’s fixed.
