Former Destiny’s Child member, Michelle Williams recently announced on her twitter page, that she’s headed back to the theatre.
“Well
I guess I can announce my role of Roxie Hart in the London West End’s
production of CHICAGO!!!!!. I’m very excited about my new role…..one of my dreams was to perform on the West End in London.”
Ms. Williams is no novice when it comes to performing in musicals. In 2003, she took over the lead role in the Broadway production of Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida. And, in early 2007, Michelle appeared on stage as the fiesty Shug Avery in the touring production of the hit musical The Color Purple.
Michelle’s stint in the production begins in July. Chicago is currently playing in London’s Cambridge Theatre.

I love Michelle on Broadway…she has been VERY successful there; hopefully she will win a Tony Award one of these days

i think this is great if she can pull off being shug she will be able to do this too gad to see she is taking the path of beyonce just on broadway u knw acting them album
