Give me a beat! You guessed it my choice is Janet Jackson. I forgot she once played in Good Times, Different Strokes, and Fame before venturing out to start her own career in music. So my first choice is an example of her acting skills, and my second choice is one of my favorite J.J. songs. I started to choose the worst in this category, artist like Jasmine Guy, Mariah Carey, Eddie Murphy, and Sherman Hemsley.
Who would have known, she would have grown into this…
-Electronic Village – Ms Grapevine – Quick – Marcus LANGFORD – Cassandra – Danielle -Lisa C -Chocl8t – DP – Kreative Talk -MarvalusOne – Regina – LaShonda -AJ – Sharon – Invisible Woman -Believer 1964 – Dee – SJP – sHaE-sHae – Songs In the Key of Life – Hagar’s Daughter – freshandfab – Thembi – Clnmike – Kim – pjazzypar – Kimberly – Malcolm

One of my favorite JJ songs! She is an awesome talent, I think I liked her better back then. I think the quality was better.
Great pick!

Janet Jackson is a good choice. Lmao at the other commentary. I didn’t know about Sherman Helmsley singing career. Mariah Carey should never be mentioned int the same sentence with acting. Glitter was a waste of my time and HBO definitely shouldn’t have paid to acquire the rights to show it on tv. I’ll defend Jasmine Guy, because I’m biased like that.

Great choice! Like Quick said, she is one of the few that went from acting to singing seamlessly…

Happy WW! You can never miss going for quality. I think that Janet Jackson is a quality entertainer. I forgot that she was in Fame for a little while…

You picked a winner. I have been a fan of her music since the “Control” album. I think I will go play it now!

I bet Joe Jackson knew she’d grow into the powerhouse she is today… probably didn’t leave her much of a choice.
