The fashion world is thoroughly excited about designing Michelle Obama’s Inauguration look. So far designers Marc Bouwer, Reem Acra and Isabel Toledo have offer their sketch designs to People’s fashion blog, Off The Rack.

The hype surrouding what Michelle would wear when her husband President-Elect Barack Obama gets sworn in as the 44th Commander in Chief is quite off the charts. There’s even talks of Michelle having her own Vogue cover.
Even Project Runway designers have a few designs in mind for the First Lady-Elect.
So far I think the off the shoulder Marc Bouwer dress is a winner but that decison is all up to Michelle. Your thoughts?

I believe that both of those dresses are quite hot but I spotted a Bridal designer who I believe will be doing the final design, her name is Michelle Fields of Michelle New York. These designers have forgotten that those cutie pies have to wear a beautiful gown as well, I high doubt that Michelle has forgotten that given that she has worked with Brides and flower girls.

I especially like the blue gown..but if you want to be patriotic
for the Inaugural Ball…you don’t have to be in stark shades
of red..white and blue..you can use variations of those colors
in magenta..ivory or powder blue. I can’t wait to see
Michelle Obama on the February or March cover of Vogue..
That would definitely be a first!! The most important
thing for Michelle to remember is her dress will be
in the Smithsonian Museum!!

I prefer the style of the blue dress. I suggest trying it with the dress being white with the swerve that’s coming off her shoulder in that color blue or black. The sketches of the girl’s dresses are also nice in both photos. Either style of their dresses are nice.

Of all the dresses that I’ve seen so far and there have been some I liked and some that I have not, but the blue off the shoulder dress in the first sketch is lovely. I think this dress is Michelle, and most of all I think the dresses on the girls are beautiful as well. A lot of the other sketches make the girls look too grown. The designers have to realize that these are young girls and they should dress as such. Michelle if you’re listen choose the blue gown. I like the second one as well perhaps there will be an occassion to wear that one as well. It just looks like it’s very glitzy.
