Diddy dedicated his new fragrance “I Am King” to President-Elect Barack Obama, Muhammad Ali, and Martin Luther King Jr. In true Diddy fashion, Diddy positioned the clip as his James Bond audition tape. (FYI: Jamie Foxx also wants to be the first black James Bond. Let the competition begin!) “I Am King” will be sold exclusively at Macy’s this December. Anyhow, check out the mini-movie Diddy made in support of his latest scent.

First Lady-Elect Michelle Obama appeared on the December 1st edition of “Newsweek” magazine. Interviewed by Allison Samuels Observes, Michelle talked about wanting to change and knock down the stereotype of African-American women in America as the First Lady. The accompanying headline reads “The Meaning of Michelle.” Did anyone catch Barack and Michelle’s Barbara Walters interview on Wednesday night? Aren’t those two adorable?

Jordin Sparks collaborated with retail chain Wet Seal to debut her own holiday-themed dress collection which ranges from $30 to $50 according to Stylelist.

The “American Idol” winner had the following to say about her new fashion gig:

“I am so excited that Wet Seal and I have been able to create a line of clothing that will appeal to more girls than ever before. The holiday season is my favorite time of year, and I can’t wait to see girls look cute, feel good and celebrate in style.”

So far I like the black and pink prom-type dress showed in the photo collage that I made. Check out the full collection here.

To all who celebrated today’s holiday - Happpy Thanksgiving!

The Los Angeles premiere of “Cadillac Records” brought out its all-star ensemble Gabrielle Union,Beyonce Knowles, Columbus Short, Jeffery Wright, and Adrien Brody. Also in attendance were Etta James (the soul legend Beyonce’s character is based off), Lauren London, and Gabrielle’s close friends Sanaa Lathan and Regina Hall.

Is that Beyonce’s real wedding ring?

Close friends Sanaa and Regina with Beyonce.

Jeffery (who can be seen in the latest James Bond film) and Adrien pose at the After Party. Wright portrays Muddy Walters and Brody’s Leonard Chess.

Gabrielle (in Reem Acra) portrays Muddy Waters’s wife Geneva in the film. Gabrielle talked to USA Today about working with Beyonce: “I like Beyoncé because the check cleared, and if it didn’t, I’d know where to find her,” joked Union, dressed in navy blue Reem Acra. “She’s obviously incredibly talented. When you watch her transform into Etta James and really channel her and her pain and that journey, it’s powerful. As a boss and as a fellow actress, she’s the bomb.”

Columbus Short portrays Little Walter. Remember him from “Stomp The Yard“?!

Tina Knowles (Beyonce’s mom) took a snapshot with soul legend Etta James.
The film opens on December 5th. Check out the trailer below.

Will you go see this film?

McDonalds recently celebrated World Children’s Day, and reached out to some celebs to help with the festivities.  In New York City, Tamia Hill and Holly Robinson-Pete made cookies with kids at the Ronald McDonald House, and Tamia also gave a performance:

Meanwhile in Chicago, Gabrielle Union promoted World Children’s Day by appearing in-store to sell ‘helping hands,’ which benefit the RM House:

The 2008 American Music Awards (on ABC last night) was a event of firsts. Many of the artists like (Rihanna and Kanye West) nominated picked up their first AMA’s. Everyone big in the music business was on the scene to pick up their award and they also hit the stage.

Rihanna (in a ruffled Zac Posen dress) walked away with two AMA’s for “Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist” and “Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist.” She (in Alexander McQueen thigh-high boots) hit the stage to perform “Rehab” without disappointedly Justin Timberlake.

Kanye West picked up one for Favorite Rap/Hip Hop Male Artist. His 2007 album, “Graduation” won favorite rap/hip-hop album. He (in his clothing line design Pastelle) even compared himself to Elvis during his acceptance speech. ‘It’s our responsibility as musicians to keep pushing each other. We will be the new Beatles, the new [Jimi] Hendrix. I want to be Elvis.”

Beyonce Knowles did not attend the red carpet arrivals but she let her alter-ego Sasha Fierce performed her hit, “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” in a black and white silk Armani Privé jacket. Sasha had the crowd on their feet!

Nick Cannon escorted his wife Mariah Carey down the flight of stairs before her performance of “I Stay In Love.” Mariah (in Dolce & Gabbana) picked up top honors (re: honorary award for Favorite Female Artist) for her record breaking music career at the awards.

Pussycat Dolls hit the stage to perform “When I Grow Up” and “Hate This Part.” Project Runway finalist Christian Siriano dressed the Dolls for their red carpet appearance. Nicole Scherzinger’s pose with the popular Project Runway contestant.

Leona Lewis (in Jenny Packham) and Pink (in Vivienne Westwood) both hit the stage to perform their hit singles. Pink performed twice and she did a duet with Sarah McLachlan. Leona performed her current single “Better in Time.

The Alicia Keys “Superwoman” remix performance with Kathleen Battle and Queen Latifah was refreshing . Alicia Keys mixed rap and R&B with classical music and the combination was quite pleasant. I even overlooked the fact that Latifah’s mic wasn’t on when she first hit the stage.

Chris Brown picked up two AMA’s for Artist of The Year and (wait for it) Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist. Visit here for the complete winner’s list. Catch all the live performances over at Mr. World Premiere. (Photo credits: Rihanna Daily, Beyonce World, Wireimage, Getty, Celebutopia)

Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson were spotted at the Grand Opening of the Palms Resort on Jumeirah Island in Dubai.

For some reason, JD looks a lot taller than normal.  Anywho, Nelly was spotted hitting up the poker table at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas.

I see he was trying real hard to be incognito, but there always someone around to snap a photo.

Like every other celebrity in the world, both Will Smith and Rosario Dawson were in Miami earlier in the week.  The duo was in town for the Seven Pounds movie premiere at AMC Sunset. The movie hits theaters on December 15th.

I love the interaction that they were having with the fans, and i’ve noticed that all the male celebrities are rocking the grey suit here lately.

Check out the Seven Pounds trailer:

Has she had a day off in the past two weeks?, is the question that keeps running through my mind about Beyonce.  Last night, B hosted Gotham Magazine’s annual gala in NYC.

In case you missed them, check out B’s cover and spread in the current Gotham issue.  Meanwhile, Melanie Brown attended a news conference at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Vegas to announce the new production, “PEEPSHOW.”

Mel B will be part of the multi-million dollar show, created and directed by Jerry Mitchell, which opens for preview performances on March 30, 2009.

Big Boi, of OutKast, looked dapper in his grey suit at the GQ Men of the Year party held at the Chateau Marmont in LA.

“GQ” recently gave President-Elect Barack Obama top praise on their annual “Men of The Year” list. The men-geared style publication decided to place a salt-and-pepper hair Barack on its cover.
