At her “Filth & Wisdom” NYC premiere, Madonna sparked some heated debate over her Chanel pistol stilettos which Karl Lagerfield named as “Miami Vice.” So what’s the big deal? Madonna’s fashion statement offended Mothers Against Murder & Agression.

Check out what a spokesperson from MAMA had to say about Madonna’s latest fashion statement: “I am horrified that Madonna can see these shoes as fashion.” [STYLELIST via Metro]

According to Fashion Week Daily these pexiglass shoes were designed by Laurence Decade for Chanel’s Resort 2009 collection.

So with that said, is these Chanel gun shoes a do or a don’t?

Hmmm. Handgun shoes? Do you wear these with a “stop snitching” handbag?
Interesting choice that she made to wear these, given the focus on trying to stop gun violence in marginalized communities.

I think Madonna gotten away with wearing those shoes because drama is expected of her. That’s her formula from her “Material Girl” days. However she’s not at a kid-related event or something to that extent. At the same time, I can see why MAMA are mad. She’s a mother wearing a gun shoes.
Who’s to say someone wouldn’t get the impression that it’s a actual gun?? Okay maybe I’m just reaching…
Didn’t Angelina Jolie give one of her sons a gun necklace?!

This would work for Halloween, and that’s about it, a kid would get suspended for wearing these shoes, and forget trying to get into the club…
J/K: I think it fits Madonna’s personality, she is full of contradictions, and that makes for great entertainment…

Don’t you just love the double standard of society? A celeb can wear this but a fan of theirs cannot. The shoes goes with Madonna’s unexpected persona. It fits her and what she embodies. Would it be funny if someone wears this on the street and the person gets stopped because it was innocently mistaken for the real deal?? Halloween yes but real life no!
