Janet Jackson, Joy Bryant, Jada Pinkett Smith, Eva Longoria Parker, and Serena Williams are apart of Stuart Weitzman’s Annual Celebrity Shoe Auction.

The one great perk about this auction is that everyone and anyone can place a bid!

All shoes are signed by the celeb and proceeds benefit Ovarian Cancer Research. Honestly out of the shoes posted, I think I would rock Joy’s.

Speaking of shoes, Ciara rock these Giuseppe Zanotti suede patent platforms on the cover of “Vibe” magazine.

Check out a few looks for less…

1. Pink Studio high-heel wedge, $95.00. 2. Luichiny wedge, $134.95. 3. Nine West wedge, $59.99. 4. Giuseppe Zanotti suede patent platforms, $695

Chris Brown and Usher are set to launch their own men and women intimates (re: underwear) collection. For reasons that are left unanswered, Chris decided to name his line, “Big Headed.” (Oh the jokes!) There’s no name for Usher’s lingerie line at the moment but since he named his fragrance after himself who knows what he’ll pick. Are you going to support their new fashion lines?

Michelle Obama has become quite the fashionista during the 2008 Presidential campaign so it came as no surprise when she decided to stick with Thakoon once again.

After all, Michelle’s DNC floral dress was all the rage back in August. Michelle wore this fitted floral print dress with a huge black bow at the first Presidential debate between Barack Obama and John McCain.

Looking past the print, the fit of the Thakoon Fall 2008 dress was great, don’t you agree? Well if you don’t, would you please check out the way Barack looked at Michelle after the debate?

Michelle’s Thakoon debate dress retails for $1,250.

I have to agree with The Black Snob on Michelle’s latest Thakoon pick… The cut of the dress was marvelous. It flattered her figure amazingly. I couldn’t help but notice her silhouette from the back and thought that is the fugliest but most gorgeously fitted dress I’ve seen her wear thus far. [BLACK SNOB]

Watch the debate:

Diversity on the Gucci Spring 2009 runway show during Milan Fashion Week finally made its global appearance! Chanel Iman became the first black model to walk the runway for Gucci since Tom Ford left in 2005. Although this positive accomplishment is always great, what’s up with Chanel being the only black model to collaborate with the brand since the past three years?! To be fair, Rihanna also has a upcoming fashion contract (Tattoo Hearts) with the brand which is expected this December.

The beautiful and talented actress Sanaa Lathan is on the cover of “Jewel” magazine with the accompanying headline, “Conquering Hollywood on Her Own Terms.”

Scan: Urban-Hoopla/Jewel

Check out a quick excerpt from the interview Sanaa had with Jewel’s Miki Turner:

In an era when it’s hard for women of color to even get a foot in the door, Lathan has seen a steady flow of opportunities come her way. Maybe that’s because she’s that rare actress who is both beautiful and talented. Or perhaps it’s because she doesn’t cower when she hears Hollywood’s favorite N-word: No. “There are scripts out there with Black women in lead roles,” she says emphatically. “It’s just that the people in power who are making decisions aren’t interested in our stories. That’s why you focus on the positive and know that there’s always an exception. If they’re not interested in telling my stories, then I’ll get them told somewhere else.” Lathan might just have that kind of power. Studio heads will tell you that Black films don’t do well overseas, which is one of the reasons why they’re hesitant to make more than a handful per decade. They obviously haven’t been to Japan. Lathan claims that she was once mobbed at a hotel by Japanese tourists calling her “Brown Sugar.” So what’s the problem? “It’s a double-edged sword,” Lathan says. “The studios decide who opens movies. They only give a person one chance, and if the movie doesn’t do well, they make that the rule. That’s bull.” [JEWEL]

For those interested and curious, shop Sanaa’s cover look over at Meghan Online Store. Speaking of which… Melanie Brown wore a Meghan “Shirley” dress and Christian Louboutin pumps to the 2008 VMA’s while Sanaa wore the cap-sleeve verison of this dress with strappy Giuseppe Zanotti shoes for her “Jewel” magazine photo session.

Travis Barker, one of the most talented drummers of our generation and a former member of Blink 182, along with DJ AM Goldstein (Nicole Richie’s ex), are the sole survivers of a Learjet 60 crash in Columbia, South Carolina. Four of the six passengers were killed upon impact, and Barker and Goldstein are listed in critical condition at the Joseph Still Burn Center, in Augusta, Georgia.

Here is an excerpt from an eye witness:

“It’s in flames and the fuel is running across the road and I had to cross the fuel to get to the two guys that seemed to have been dumped on the highway,” Owens said.

Owens told WIS-TV the two men were running around and pulling off clothing to put out the flames. He said he asked them if anyone else was on board the plane and they said four people were with them.

Travis Barker & DJ Am

I love me some Travis Barker, and I pray that he and DJ AM pull through this. Our hearts and prayers go out to the other passengers and their families.

Barack Obama has the October 2008 cover gig for “Men’s Vogue” magazine. Snapped by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, Barack talked about his life since that keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention to his present lifestyle. (For those who still haven’t register to vote, do visit The Proud Black Voter Blog.)

Read the full interview here.

Speaking of Barack, Solange Knowles was seen in this “Obey Obama Vintage tee” from Urban Outfitters at the Rock The Rock event in Philadelphia. The tee shirt would cost you $38…and it’s a whole lot less than the $60 House of Dereon “Change” tee.

I can tell you now, that I cannot go on a road trip with music, and unfortunately I can’t play the songs that have been apart of my past road trips for fear of the lyrical content. So that made this theme challenging for me. Anyway, I had to pick a song that I know all the words to, and that I can sing along. So here is my choice, Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh, Lodi…Dodi…Ahhh….

Rihanna, Michelle Obama, Heidi Klum, and Fergie are among People magazine’s Best Dressed Stars of 2008. Out of the picks, I particularly enjoy Rihanna and Michelle’s style choices that they made…so far.

The worst looks of the year went to Solange, Lucy Liu, Amy Winehouse, Lil’ Mama, Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul, and Aubrey O’ Day. All worst-dressed looks could have been saved if it wasn’t so over the top, don’t you think?

As for me I think the best overall style choice of the year is Vogue Italia.

So do you disagree or agree with the celebrity publication’s best & worst picks?

Moving right along…

Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinket Smith made it a family affair at the recent premiere of “Lakeview Terrace.” The married couple supported Jada’s brother Caleb who has a role in the film. Gray suits, as Jessica’s blog Genuine-Imitation admitted, is a great style trend for the men. Yay or nay on Jada’s dress choice?

Ever love a bag so much you had to have it in every color? Well Solange Knowles had a same feeling when she was spotted with this Emporio Armani “Audrey” bowling bag. Solange, the brand’s ambassador, has this bag in red and black.

Look for less:
1. Juicy Couture dose of couture bowling bag, $450
2. Akademiks satchel, $78
3. Puma grip bag, $60.00
4. Dereon soul siren satchel, $99.00.

Fashion Tidbits Elsewhere:

Rihanna has a strong Gucci bag obsession. [Fashionista 101]
