I just got in and I check my twitter homepage and noticed that SoulBounce made a reference to El DeBarge. There are two groups from the 80’s that I love, the first is Lionel Richie and the Commodores, and the second is DeBarge. To make a long story shorter, I realize DeBarge was a Motown group, and so here we are…

I love El. I usually don’t like anyone singing Marvin Gaye songs, but El’s rendition of “After the Dance” rivals Marvin’s. I had never heard the song you shared, but it is the jam.

i have never heard this particular el debarge song and i have a ‘greatest hits’ cd. he (they) put out so much good music, i am sure that there are others that i have never heard of before.

DeBarge got much play in my house. We loved us some El, but later I had a week long crush on Chico… don’t tell nobody though.
