I’m so excited, I live in Texas and can’t vote until March, but you beautiful people who live elsewhere please go vote. I can’t tell you who to vote for, but you should feel compelled to make history by leaving your computer and going to the nearest precinct. Do me a favor, if you live in one of the lucky 19 states and you voted today or in early voting drop me a comment. I want to see all my voting friends.

My daughter(22) and I just came back from voting and as were walking home we were actually just talking about Texas. It is a major republican state isn’t it? Why do you guys vote in March instead of today? Anyway we cast our vote!

I regretfully and a lil ashamed report that was unable to vote today.. I know I know boo!!!! But it’s kinda not my fault. When I gained my official citizenship in 2000 I was living in DC and we are a district and not a state so we don’t count in elections. I just moved to Atlanta and had to change my state residency to vote.. get Id and all, well the lady at the DMV had a case of the bitch-assness (shouts to Diddy and my new favorite word) and took forever getting my stuff so I decided to go register the next day. I didn’t know that I missed the deadline by one day. one day!! and then when I did register and just concede to vote in November I found out that I could have registered at the dmv when I got my license! long story short, Obama still won in my state and I am pumped about my first election in november!

Yes, for the most part Texas is a republican state. There is one county in Texas that is outside the box–Travis County (aka Austin).
Sincere, sorry about that lady. If she was not suffering from that, she could have hooked you up.
There is some trickery going on in California with voting irregularities. Berkeley ran out of ballots, Alameda county stayed open late, and the ballots were confusing.

@ Cassandra: Texas should be its own country, because I swear we have different laws. This bush country, so we are sometimes backwards. We still matter, we have a lot of delegates in this huge state.
@Sincere: It’s okay, Obama won Georgia, and you tried. My new favorite word, too. I was on the floor when Diddy \ asked Robert if he had that disease.
Yeah Chi Chi, Quick, Lisa C & Regina for putting it down.

LOL. Right.
I just heard that our primary next month will matter, so I am glad about that. I was REALLY envious of all who were able to vote yesterday.
