A Raisin In The Sun
[/coolplayer]
I found these pictured at Wooohah.com, a hip-hop blog via Real Gossip 101. When I read the cast I became so excited, no not because Diddy is in the movie, but because Audra McDonald and Phylicia Rashad are. Audra McDonald has one of the most amazing voices on broadway, and has broken the color line by being cast in leading roles that were traditionally played by whites. I just admire Phylicia Rashad; she is the epitome of class. The movie also stars Sanna Lathan, John Stamos, and Sean Patrick Thomas. This movie boasts quite an accomplish cast, so don’t you miss it.
According to Wooohah.com, A Raisin In The Sun will air directly on ABC on February 25, 2008.

[Sanaa Lathan, Phylicia Rashad, Audra McDonald, Justin Martin, Sean 'Didd' Combs]

Same here Mrs. Grapevine, ditto everything you said. Audra McDonald is the ONLY reason that I bothered to turn to Private Practice (I think that’s the name of it). With the exception of Sean Combs this is a fantabulous cast. I hope that he holds his own.
Pop over to Black Tennis Pro’s, I’ve got something for you.

I love me some ‘Claire Huxtable’ and I may have to watch this airing just because I would love to see her on TV again. I have to admit that I am also a Sanaa Lathan fan and I would be interested to see how she plays her role. Puffy…well, we will see if his acting is better than his talent management.

I just watched the trailer and I can’t wait to see it. Definitely doesn’t look like I’ll be disappointed. Also, from what I saw Diddy didn’t do a bad job, I was impressed. That’s surprising because I didn’t care for his acting in Monsters Ball.
Hubby is a big Sanaa fan too. Looks like him and Marcus have that in common. I think she’s beautiful and got skillz when it comes to her acting.
Mama Claire, well let’s just say, when I was growing up I wanted a Mama just like her.

@ ML: I heard Diddy wasn’t that bad on stage, and held his own, so hopefully he does a better job in the movie.
@Lisa C: My hubby loves Sanaa, too

I like Audra McDonald, how she sounds, but I can tell she’s a little nutty cause that’s what Julliard will do to you, drive you crazy, I once saw her on this Channel 13 documentary on Julliard and apparently that’s what that place will do to people. Anyway, Puffy is a douche. I guess Mo Money Mo Problems is right, cause Puffy’s got a douchebag problem… OOOOHHHH… snap

Whoa, I just looked at the picture again. Is that her real sister and/or mother? Or am I making a borderline racist comment here?

The cast is not related in anyway, but to save face I think there is strong resemblance among the women.

I saw Justin Martin who plays Travis on Broadway in The Lion King. He was an amazing Simba, he can really sing. I read that he has 3 movies out next year and is working on a film with Jamie Foxx. This is an super cast.
