16 year-old Jaime Lynn Spears of the hit Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101, reveals she is 12 weeks pregnant. There must be a generational curse on the Spears family. It’s obvious they don’t believe in birth control or talk about safe sex. Poor Mrs. Lynne Spears, she’s 0 for 2.

Houston…we have a problem! To be pregnant at 16-years old is one thing, but the the father of the baby is 19-years old. Now, if I am not mistaking, isn’t that illegal!?

This is a doggone shame! How are you going to have a hit Television show especially for kids and get pregnant at such a young age? The 4th season of her show will be last, Nick will get too many emails and phone calls from non-supportive parents about this. Why would she of all things go and tell the one magazine that hates her very own sister? I’m deeply disappointed at Jamie Lynn. She knows better, she just should’ve done better!

I am very suprised at this because she seemed to have a very good head on her shoulders. But who knows what happened with so much attention on Britney. Time to grow up now Jamie Lynn! And yeah I agree that NIck is gonna cancel her show cause of the backlast from this. So sad and unexpected!

I can’t just blame the parent because kids do mess up, but with so much attention on Britney and the mistakes she has made, you’d think Jaime would be just a little bit wiser. At any case I’m sure she’ll be a better mom.

it is sad but we all make mistakes and it could be worse i know a 12 year old who got pregnant!!!!Jamie will be 17 in 4 months we all need to stop saying mean things about her whats done is done!!!! she dont need more stress. the one thing i agree on is yes the show should be canceled.

But to answer the question of whether it’s illegal or not, it is legal. The age of consent in most places is 16-24 17-30 and 18-up.

I would just like to clear up a few things. Not that it is any of our business who Jamie Lynn chooses to date, nor how old he might be. The legal age of consent is 16 in most states. However, to prevent massive age differences and the situations that go along with them, there has also been a been a law but into affect that states any one under the age of 18 must keep their partner within an 5 year age difference. I personally believe that most of you criticizing Jamie Lynn are hypocritical and should be ashamed of your selves for insulting her. I do believe that if your going to be old enough to perform sexual actions then you should be prepared for the responsibilities that go along with it. She is doing just that, caring for her child everyday and being the best mom she knows how to be. As for the all of you who look down on her and say she made a mistake………. take a look at your own lives and preserve what bit of dignity you can with your own downfalls. Despite any age bring a child into this world is a magical experience and no child should be reduced to a mistake.Maybe you should all be more worried about your own children instead of someone else. You set the example for your own children and I hope your not teaching them the ignorance of attacking another human life, because that would be the real shame. To Jamie: “Although I myself can’t being to imagine how your life has changed as a teen mother, I give you the hope and strength you desire the be the best mother you can. I myself had my first child at the age of 21 and it was definitely the best and scariest experience of my life.
