14 year-old Bobbi Kristina is not only smoking, but allowing herself to be photographed smoking. Most people aren’t surprise, but I am. I know she’s heard her share of crack-head jokes, and I know she has seen her mother without her teeth. My point is, if I had such parents, the last thing I would do is touch drugs. I mean she has first hand experience of what drugs can do. I wouldn’t even drink mineral water if I was her, but I guess some people need to learn the hard way. Maybe rehab is a rite of passage in the Brown-Houston household.
Ne-Yo was kicked off the tour with R. Kelly after only two shows. My guess, Ne-Yo was getting too much love from the teens, and R. Kelly got jealous. Ne-Yo breaks it down to Ed Lover the reasons behind the split. My question is, why are people still buying R. Kelly albums? He is a diva, an alleged pedophile (amongst other things). Anyway, Ne-Yo had me rolling at the ridiculousness we call R. Kelly, so check out the interview.

Beyonce was spotted at the Apollo supporting her man, Jay-Z as he performs. Beyonce shown below was throwing up the R-O-C. There are also rumors flying around that Beyonce may be working on a country album inspired by her AMA performance with Sugarland. Something tells me this rumor is false. Although she is the queen of over-exposure, let’s just hope for her sake she doesn’t take it there. Country music fans are loyal and vicious, the moment she starts dancing and over singing her career will be over. Look what they did to the Dixie Chicks, and they were the number one selling group at the time.
Nicole Richie and boyfriend Joel Madden had a Wizard of Oz themed baby shower, hosted by Brenda Richie (Nicole Richie’s Mother). The couple asked that guest bring a book for the baby, and that all other gifts and money be donated to the Richie Madden Children’s Foundation that will provide baby starter kit for young expecting mothers through Los Angeles Free Clinics. The sex of the baby is unknown, and Nicole and Joel maintain that they do not know the sex of the baby either.
I just love to see celebrities without all the glitz and glamor. Honestly, people are killing themselves to look like these people not knowing it’s all camera and lights. Rihanna is a beautiful girl, but she licks her fingers one at a time after eating friend chicken just like you or me. Don’t believe, take a look for yourself:

I have seen this cartoon almost every year since I can remember, but it wasn’t until two years ago that I actually paid attention and got it. Who knew such a profound message could be hidden in a cartoon. Charles M. Schulz, the creator of Charlie Brown and the Peanuts characters felt that Christmas had become to commercial and materialistic. He feared the true meaning of Christmas had been lost, and so he decided to create A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965). In this clip Linus tells Charlie Brown the true meaning of Christmas according the bible, Luke 2:8-14. It also has one of the best jazz soundtracks for Christmas.

I have not been ignoring all of you, I forgot to post that we were going to The Most Expensive Happiest Place On Earth. You guessed it, Disney World. We had so much fun, but I must say this place is a rip off. Disney World plays on the love parents have for their children. If you love your children you will take them to Disney World and give all your money to Mickey and his friends. Disney World is the acme of capitalism, consumerism, and branding. We ate Disney popcorn, Disney burgers, and Disney Grapes. At the age of 79, I think Mickey Mouse has done pretty well for himself, and is by far the richest rodent on earth.
Which reminds me: There is a documentary film entitled “What Would Jesus Buy” that explores the commercialism of Christmas, and inundation of our children with material gifts. It’s produced by the maker of Super Size Me, so it should be incredibly funny, and satirical.
Anyway here are some pictures from our trip, and I posted these for Lisa C, who appreciated the more personal side of blogging.
I love Alicia Keys for her humanitarian efforts and her talent as a keyboardist, but I don’t really like her music. It’s lacking the grit, the rawness, the umph. I can listen to it because I can appreciate the originality and creativity, but it’s generally not my cup of tea. Well Ms. Keys has a new video out, and I think I like it…I think I can connect…
