This has been the summer of foot-in-mouth quotes. Beyonce Knowles is the newest member to join the team with KeKe Wyatt and Polow Da Don. In an interview with Latina Magazine, Beyonce says, “I’m just jealous that I wasn’t born Latina. I wish I had been because the culture is so beautiful.”
Beyonce continues with, “I noticed a big difference between speaking to all of the Latino stations and speaking to the pop stations or the other stations. With the Latino stations, there was so much love and everyone is so genuine.“
MG Says: Now, I know what she was trying to do, she was trying to patronize her Latino base to increase her international exposure. However, in the process she gave a back-handed compliment and inferred that her culture is not beautiful, and her fans that are not Latino are fake. I smell PR Patrol, I’m sure she will be in every media outlet trying to fix this one.

I understand what she was tryin to say but as a black woman I am like what the f*ck. I think she should be proud of her culture and not try or think about being something else because in reality that is being fake and disrespectful to the people who have supported you thus far. But if she had any sense she would understand that most African Americans have Latino blood in them from the African Slave trade. Her mother is Creole and her family is from New Orleans. Most Creole descents are from the island of Haiti a Caribbean Island. Just a little history

im not sure if beyonce said that but if she did that was some ignorant stuff..yea she can have her opinion but if it was obama it wouldve been a different story..beyonce is known as one of the best female entertainers in the industry and she represents blacks .blacks that supported her since day one for her to say that is like a slap in the face and being black is nothing compared to latino.it really doesnt suprise me anyway…shes known for that kind of stuff.always talking about how she is creole…us blacks are known for down grading ourselves so this doesnt suprise me.
