In an interview with Self magazine, Jessica Simpson admits she wanted to adopt a baby at the age of 16:
“The first time I went to [Casa Hogar Elim] orphanage, I was 16. I remember holding this baby who was found in a dumpster. I wanted to adopt him right then and there. I was like, ‘Dad, can I have him for my birthday, please?”
MG Says: Is that why celebrities are adopting children because they seem cute like a pet. This sounds like Charlotte’s Web, “Pa, Can I keep him.” I don’t know why this quote upsets me so, but she makes this orphan sound like a dog at the pound.
