Melanie Brown tells Larry King that the relationship may have been short, but she and Eddie were definitely in love and offers tattoos as proof, “We didn’t make set in stone plans to be married but we definitely spoke about it. Our relationship may have been brief but it was intense and we were very much in love and wanted to have a family together. That’s that. I mean we’re both tattooed. You don’t tattoo somebody’s name on your body if it’s brief and unimportant, let’s put it that way.”
Stephen Belafonte Charge With Domestic Abuse
Belafonte admitted attacking Contreras at her Beverly Hills home in May 2003. He was charged with battery and court papers filed 24 hours later accused him of “willfully and unlawfully” using violence against her.
Belafonte pleaded no contest to the charge but escaped jail with a suspended sentence and probation. He was ordered to attend a year-long domestic violence programme which he only completed it in 2005, after twice being thrown out for absenteeism.
But forgiving Contreras is optimistic Belafonte has reformed since the incident, saying, “The past is the past. He’s a changed person now.”
It it reported that Melanie Brown and lawyer, Gloria Allred is suing Eddie Murphy for $9 Million for paternity and child support. Appearing on Larry King Live, Brown and her lawyer both dodge the question regarding the amount suit, but instead had this to offer:
We’re not here to talk about finances and we’re not here to counter kinds of, you know, allegations that they (Murphy’s camp) may wish to make.Any kind of issue regarding finances will be dealt with in a court of law and that’s the proper place.
But we are here to say that he has not even asked to visit his baby. He hasn’t asked. We’d like nothing more than that and this baby will always know that her mother fought for that – asked that the father be part of her life. Whether he does or not, this mother tried.”
Yes, 50-cent vows if he doesn’t out-sell Kanye West on September 11th, he will retire. 50-Cent tells NY Daily News:
“Let’s raise the stakes. If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I’ll no longer (perform) music. I’ll write music and work with my other artists, but I won’t put out any more solo albums.
They would like to see Kanye West give me a problem because I’ve worked myself into a space where I’ve become the favourite. Everybody roots (for) the underdog when he goes against the favorite.
And I bet this: When Kanye West’s sales come in, he’s gonna have a 70 per cent decrease cause Def Jam is gonna buy records (the first week) to keep him closer to 50 Cent. So watch the first week and then watch the second week. Watch his ass drop off the planet.
